23.01.2022 Marcus Oborn is Murk. He is a USQ graduate who most recently, stepped on stage with Opera Queensland for their contribution to the Queensland Music Festival, and with Savage in Limbo cast member Zoe Houghton for a staged reading of The Hanging by Angela Betzien. 2018 saw Marcus make his directorial debut with his production of MOTH. What is your favourite bar? Theres a few must haves - schmick decor, good atmosphere, live music, quality people. And as long as they make ...a good Old Fashioned, Im there. The Tapestry Bar is one of my favourite haunts, many a good time and Old Fashioned has been had there. What is your worst drinking experience? Lets just say that young, naive Marcus did not know what jelly shots were when he first encountered them. So at a friends eighteenth, when a few trays of jelly shots were brought out, I thought What a novelty! and downed well, lets just say too many. I ended up dancing in the kitchen with shot glasses in my eyes pretending to be a Russian gymnast while my friends watched on. The next morning we climbed a mountain to cure the lingering impact of the night before, which turned out to be easier said than done. Not proud of that moment, but a good story. What do you most like about your character? Murk is a gem. Hes been through a bit, as they all have, but he now knows what he wants. A stickler for the rules that he makes and applies when he feels like it, Murk is looking for some solid ground in a world moving too fast for him. Surrounded by change, he just wants some consistency, and maybe a bit of magic every now and then. Hes got interesting ways of getting that, but to him at least, the means justify the end. If I had to sum him up, Id say hes not a glass half empty or half full kind of guy - that glass is either full or empty.

10.01.2022 Marika is Linda Rotunda. You can currently see her as Shaz in comedy series SMOKO. This past August Marika participated in an advanced improvisation workshop with The Groundlings co-founder Phyllis Katz in Melbourne. After Savage, she is set to film another new comedy Wringleton. Favorite Bar? The Ritz bar in Toronto (one of my home towns). The ambiance is both exquisite and cozy and you cant beat the service! They have this drink called The 6IX, which is ...a nickname for Toronto, coined by Canadian rapper Drake. The 6IX costs $600.00 (not kidding), its served with Louis XIII Cognac. It is so ludicrous that I respect it. Also, who doesnt love a good celebrity sighting? You will find many an A lister hiding out here. Most regrettable drinking experience? Ok full disclosure, my twenties were rife with regrettable drinking experiences. Heres a PG13 one : I was showing off my Britney Spears moves atop a glass table in some pretentious Lounge in Toronto --- there were about 10 glasses of Dom on that table, and I promptly sent them all flying to the ground. The sound of shattering glass was horrendous and the staff wanted to kill me. What do you like most about your character? I love how resilient Linda is. Shes been dealt a crappy hand, but instead of complaining about it, she buckles down and does what needs to be done. She owns her mistakes, and this gives her a kind of nobility, despite her rough around the edges up-bringing. Shes deeply sensitive, but has the courage to speak up for herself and say whats on her mind. Theres a kind of fearlessness about her, but also a simmering vulnerability. As with all of Shanleys characters, shes so richly written, and I cant wait to bring her to life!

07.01.2022 Zoe Houghton is Savage. She is a NIDA graduate last seen on television in The Paul Hogan Story and on Brisbane stages in QTCs Rabbit Hole. She recently returned from the Northern Territory flexing her directing muscle for a circus that brought together multiple Indigenous communities. What is your favorite bar? Ive been to some pretty funky bars all over the world - the Opera Bar in Sydney, a few favourites in NYC, an amazing bar in the Arctic circle surrounded by rein...deer- but Ive got to say having a tasty Australian wine at our wonderful Lucky Duck is one of my favourite things to do on a Friday evening. Theres a sense of community and family. Its like a second lounge room for me! What is your worst drinking experience? Oh, there has been a few! The eve of my 16th birthday was especially bad. It involved an imitation bottle of Malibu and a windy trip up a mountain that ended in horrific vomiting. I also once challenged a Norwegian to a drinking contest with their home brewed spirit. I ended up getting a lift through a snow storm on a snow scooter and fell off the back!! What do you like most about your character Savage? She is such a complex woman. At once volatile and vulnerable. She is stuck and yet she is scratching like a wild animal for a chance at something more. Something else. She is at once full of wisdom and naivety; a virgin who longs to shake loose the chains of her impotence and sink her teeth into the world in all its pain and glory. She is a smart mouthed-smart arse with a heart of gold. I could not love her more.

06.01.2022 Melanie Zanetti plays April White. You can currently see her as Orla the sharp- witted ambitious elf in THE BUREAU OF MAGICAL THINGS on Ten Play or hear her as Mum on the ABC cartoon, BLUEY. From December 14th you can see her work on Netflixs TIDELANDS and in addition to SAVAGE, she will appear in Queensland Theatres production of LAPPARTMENT in 2019. Favourite Bar? In London I went to this place that used to be an underground smugglers cave back in the day, subterrane...an, candle lit and packed with people and this air of history, secrecy and adventure. I like anywhere that feels like you have fallen down the rabbit hole or travelled though time, I enjoy being transported somewhere else with my beverages. Most regrettable drinking experience? When I was 16, I had no idea about drinking so I was just mixing it up! Bit of wine, bit of Malibu, bit of Whiskey. Vomited on myself, in buckets and on other people for a number of hours and was also uninvited and then re-invited to a formal over the course of the evening. Good times! The smell of Malibu still makes me gag. What do you like about your character? Aprils arrested development and constant low level alcoholic haze makes her the sweetest character Ive ever worked on with a childlike naivety and unwitting humour. However, April also has these moments of searing clarity where she is suddenly fully aware of herself and her circumstances creating this wonderful and terrifying Jekyll and Hyde like personality where you see a glimpse of the constant battle to keep the inner animal sedated. She is tragic in every sense of the word but so incredibly lovable, I have never explored a character quite like her!
