25.01.2022 More scouting from our Byron Bay Escape. Fantastic roads, amazing swimming spots, multiple waterfalls... we start on Mount Tambourine just north of the Queensland border before crossing through Lamington National Park down to Byron. If we can't go overseas, this region is spectacular and won't disappoint!

24.01.2022 The perfect day! After crossing from the north to the east coast of Tasmania, we had a beautiful cruise (ride cruise!) down the spectacular east coast with a stop for Australia's best fish and chips and finishing in Freycinet National Park for a well earned rest day!

Without a cafe in sight and the sun out, it is amazing what homemade mini chocolate Hazlenut cakes and Bec's chai tea does for the energy levels (well done Isabel!)

22.01.2022 It is that time of the year again in Australia and this video may put you off coming here (and not just because of the magpies!) but Spring, when Magpies breed, is an amazing time here on the bike. At Bike Odyssey home base we have a similar magpie at the bottom of the hill and I am sometimes tempted to ride the extra 30km and 1000m of elevation around 'the block' to avoid him!

05.01.2022 Tasmania has been amazing this Australian summer but it has been fantastic to see confidence grow in the return of international travel and this has been reflected in bookings for tours especially our Lionheart Odyssey in 2022! Castles, Dolomites, epic climbs and quiet Austrian villages, spectacular Black Forest, Alsace and beautiful French countryside...a cracking Western European Odyssey to look forward to!!

04.01.2022 Don't take our word for it, take Lance Armstrong's! This is Lance on his Tour de France The Move podcast talking about the Hammerhead Karoo, our GPS of choice on all our Odysseys. The Hammerhead Karoo started as Kickstarter project only 4 years ago and they are now leading the way with cycling GPS computers. We have been with them from the start and they are the best device out there.

03.01.2022 A little interview with Hammerhead below. Their Karoo device has come a long way! It was always clear their screen and usability were ahead of the rest from the start but for those on our tours who used them early on (2 years ago) there were a few challenges but they have worked so hard and we are extremely happy with them. They are the best GPS unit on the market for touring and navigation. Great photos as always by Chris Jallard!

02.01.2022 What an escape! It was great to be on the road again with our l'Etape Escape crew. 23 of us set off from Berry on a rainy morning, luckily the weather cleared soon after coffee and with 2 beastly climbs in the bag - Berry Mountain and Col du Fitzroy - we headed across the Southern Highlands to our luxury destination Kalinya Estate where fine food, wine and accommodation awaited!!

01.01.2022 This was an epic day, 4 1/2 cols(Cornillon, Ornon, Huez, Sarenne, 1/ Lautaret) and an overnight in a picture perfect town!....a day I will remember for a few reasons!
