24.01.2022 #VENEZUELA is a country on the northern coast of South America with diverse natural attractions. The continental territory is bordered on the north by the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, on the west by Colombia, Brazil on the south, Trinidad and Tobago to the north-east and on the east by Guyana. Along its Caribbean coast are tropical resort islands including Isla de Margarita and the Los Roques archipelago. To the northwest are the Andes Mountains and the colonial tow...n of Mérida, a base for visiting Sierra Nevada National Park. Caracas, the capital, is to the north. The territory of Venezuela was colonized by Spain in 1522 amid resistance from indigenous peoples. In 1811, it became one of the first Spanish-American territories to declare independence from the Spanish, and to form part, as a department, of the first federal Republic of Colombia (historiographically known as Gran Colombia). In contrast to its natural beauty, Venezuela’s history has been marred by economic turmoil, political strife, and violence. Despite having some of the world’s largest oil reserves, many people suffer in poverty. Over half of the urban population - over a million people - live in slums often controlled by gangs or drug barons. But Venezuela enjoys and celebrates freedom of religion. The major religion is Christianity 91% of 28.8 million people, 71% are Roman Catholics and 17% Protestants, 8% are those without a religion. Sadly, the church mixes Christianity with false teachings and unbiblical practices like Spiritism. They also face pressures from the growing New Age Spirituality movement, as well as the harmful effects of Satanism. The good news is, mission training centres are growing as Christians pursue a greater vision for missions despite the Evangelical church being small in numbers. In the midst of these challenges, the Venezuelan Church is bringing the peace of Jesus Christ to a nation in much turmoil. Pray for Christ to reveal himself to those blinded by spiritism, Islam, and other false religions. Pray for all 30 Amerindian tribes to be transformed by the Word of God despite government opposition. Pray for solutions to economic instability and high crime rates. See more

20.01.2022 #ZAMBIA, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke That Thunders plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint. Its neighbours are the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania to the nort...h-east, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, Namibia to the southwest, and Angola to the west. The capital city is Lusaka, located in the south-central part of Zambia. The population is concentrated mainly around Lusaka in the south and the Copperbelt Province to the northwest, the core economic hubs of the country. Zambia is home to stoic savannah plateaus, the cascading waters of Victoria Falls, and game parks teeming with wild African creatures and remains a destination for tourists as well as a model for peace and ethnic harmony. A one-party state in 1973 left little room for political freedom. By 1991, demands for political diversity led to the establishment of a new constitution and greater political freedom. Zambia is a peaceful country in the midst of her unsettling neighbours. Though affected by a recession during the 1970s, recent investment in mining and rising copper prices are hopeful indicators of an economy on the mend. A high prevalence of HIV/AIDS among adults has drained the healthcare system and economy of resources, and HIV/AIDS related deaths have left over 710,000 children orphaned. Zambia is completely open to the Gospel, a nation that was formally recognised as a Christian nation in 1991. Evangelicals 73% in particular have experienced exciting growth and compose 26% of the population, compared to 4% in 1960. Islam 2%) is also growing. There is great need for Zambians who are able to minister to the growing number of Muslims. Pray that God would grow a spiritual fervency among Zambian believers, sending them out with the Gospel to the poor, sick, and spiritually needy. Pray for ongoing commitment by Zambians to see their nation flourish as a Christian one which honours the Lord. Pray for the development of training programs that will raise up educationally and spiritually equipped leaders. Pray for wisdom in tackling extreme poverty and the devastating HIV/AIDS crisis. 20.01.2022 It was an awesome privilege to pray for all the nations of the world from A-Z. We have now completed praying for each individual country. We started this in April 2020 with Argentina and today 27 Jan 2021 was the last country Zimbabwe. Thank you all for your support and also praying with us as well as our riders and friends. Our world is suffering at the moment and this Covid 19 has changed the way we live our lives. Each soul matters to God and our prayer is that many will come to know the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ during this pandemic.

19.01.2022 #YEMEN, officially the Republic of Yemen, is a country at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. It is the second-largest Arab sovereign state in the peninsula, occupying 527,970 square kilometres. The coastline stretches for about 2,000 kilometres. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, the Red Sea to the west, the Gulf of Aden and Guardafui Channel to the south, and Oman to the east. Yemen belongs to the least developed country group,[35] referring...Continue reading

18.01.2022 #UZBEKISTAN is a Central Asian nation and former Soviet republic. It is surrounded by five landlocked countries: Kazakhstan to the north; Kyrgyzstan to the northeast; Tajikistan to the southeast; Afghanistan to the south and Turkmenistan to the south-west. It's known for its mosques, mausoleums and other sites linked to the Silk Road, the ancient trade route between China and the Mediterranean. Samarkand, a major city on the route, contains a landmark of Islamic architecture:... the Registan, a plaza bordered by 3 ornate, mosaic-covered religious schools dating to the 15th and 17th centuries. Although Uzbeks boast a 99% literacy level, all media is government controlled, and free access to information is non-existent. Once a gateway to goods on the Silk Road, this nation now acts as a transit point for drug activity, particularly Afghan narcotics going to Russia and Western Europe. According to Open Doors, Uzbekistan is number 21 of the world list of countries where Christians are severely persecuted because of their faith. Church leaders are often subject to persecution at the hands of the authorities. They can be detained, or denied visas to leave the country. Many are fined for holding ‘Illegal’ meetings, possessing Christian literature or even having Christian songs on their phone. Outside the church, Christian men may be overlooked for promotion in the workplace, and businessmen who follow Jesus are watched and monitored by the authorities. Because of this, Christian families are sometimes crippled by financial hardship. Compulsory military service can also expose Christian men to further harassment and hostility and they are forced to leave their families with little income. The decision to leave Islam for Christianity is costly for many women. Social expectations around submission mean most females cannot choose their religion and are in great danger if they do so. In extreme cases, wives must flee their own homes. Pray the Holy Spirit will encourage, equip and empower believers who face persecution. Pray church leaders will be strengthened as they endure immense pressure as they lead their congregations. Pray for discernment as the president makes decisions regarding Christian freedoms. Pray for safety, growth, and spiritual maturity for those in underground house churches. Pray for a miraculous explosion of religious freedom. Pray for believers to be bold in evangelism as foreign workers are expelled. See more

11.01.2022 #ZIMBABWE is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife. The world’s largest curtain of water parades down Victoria Falls on the edge of t...he Republic of Zimbabwe. The plummeting waters mimic the fallen economy in this landlocked South African nation. Once known as Rhodesia, the nation was under British rule until officially gaining independence in 1980. During the move towards independence, most farms owned by whites were seized, and land was distributed, in many cases, to party loyalists and their families. This led to a sharp decline in production and caused the collapse of the agriculture-based economy. Zimbabwe maintains the distinction of having the highest public debt and consumer price inflation in the world, in addition to having an unemployment rate over 90%. Zimbabwe has the fifth most HIV/AIDS related deaths in the world: about 2,000 per week. This amounts to 286 every day and 12 every hour. Zimbabwe is looking for a savior, and thankfully nearly 80% have sought out Jesus. However, the majority of people believe in a syncretistic Christianity, one mixed with indigenous beliefs. The church in Zimbabwe needs purity in their doctrine and unity among denominations, especially amongst Apostolic and charismatic believers. Missionaries in Zimbabwe need training to effectively reach out to the small Muslim population. The Church must also raise up strong, spirit-filled leaders to point the people of their broken nation to Christ. Pray for increased health care and preventative education for this HIV/AIDS ravaged nation. Pray for unity, cooperation, and additional resources for Christian care organizations. Pray for a moral, visionary government to rebuild this impoverished nation See more

06.01.2022 #VIETNAM is a Southeast Asian country known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the C Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers. The Geneva Accords of 1954 divided Vietnam into communist North Vietnam and anti-communist South Vie...tnam. Several decades of fighting followed, until the North Vietnamese overcame the South in 1975 and reunited North and South Vietnam under communist rule. The years of war and Marxist policies proved disastrous to Vietnam's economy. In 1986 reforms were put in place to move from the central controlled economy to a more market oriented one, and today Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies in the world. The policy of "Renovation" has brought about social changes that have been positive including a rise in the standard of living. Freedom of religion is constitutionally guaranteed in Vietnam, but new regulations in 2005 required religious groups to register with the government. Most churches have been denied registration and have faced harassment and even persecution. Many Vietnamese traditionally follow Buddhism, though the veneration and worship of ancestors is an underestimated practice found throughout Vietnam. Churches are persevering and the number of evangelicals is growing as the Vietnamese experience the challenges of the current economic and social changes. Catholicism was introduced to Vietnam in the 16th century and was firmly established by Jesuits missionaries (mainly Portuguese and Italian) in the 17th centuries from nearby Portuguese Macau. French missionaries (from the Paris Foreign Missions Society) together with Spanish missionaries (from the Dominican Order of the neighbouring Spanish East Indies) actively sought converts in the 18th, 19th, and first half of the 20th century. Protestantism was only recently spread by American and Canadian missionaries in the 20th century; the largest Protestant denomination is the Evangelical Church of Vietnam. Around 770,000 of the country's Protestants are members of ethnic minorities, particularly the highland Montagnards and Hmong people. Pray for effective witness from believers in prison for their faith. Pray for unity among Christians and Christian organizations who are seeing an increase in new believers. Pray for freedom from government repression of unregistered house churches. See more
