16.01.2022 I visited Redwood today, I had never been before, only heard about it. Many people don’t even know about it, it’s quiet a significant place that holds strong historical & cultural links and has a great view to Table Top ( One Tree Hill ) The entry is where it changes to 100 down the range, it’s totally worth a stop and walk. ... Thank you so much to all the volunteers who help maintain this area, particularly Friends of the Escarpment. This is a labor of love but is not easy work.

16.01.2022 Thank you for inviting me

15.01.2022 Wishing you a very happy, safe & relaxing festive season. For me Christmas is about the kids & family. Our grandkids are growing up way to fast so it means a lot to create great memories with them by being there and present for them. Kids don’t remember toys, they remember moments of fun & happiness, we try hard to create that for ours. ... It will be another first for us without my dad. All the firsts are hard but he will be with us as we share stories and laughs about past Christmas. Dad loved Christmas pudding and fighting us for the custard skin :) Love joy peace happiness family From our family Bill

12.01.2022 What a refreshing visit to Crows Nest today talking about possibilities rather than roadblocks. Lisa Goodman is our Community Development Officer doing a great job as a conduit and bringing the community together. The new President of the Tourist & Progress, Paul and his wife Sue are working with the committee on some exciting & new ideas that will surely be a surprise to many. ... June & Di are fairly new to town but love it and want to support positive growth in the community And then there is Ros who is personally interviewing people to find what people love and what they would like to see in the community. I am excited to see and hear what happens.

11.01.2022 This was a huge task, structural engineers said it could not be successfully moved. Ray and the Pioneer Village Team said ‘we have a plan - lets give it a go’ She weighs in at 12 tonne... Made of concrete & steel It was thanks to Clive Berghoffer’s generosity that enabled her to be saved and now standing proudly as our newest tourist attraction.

04.01.2022 Had Phil & Troy from Darling Downs Auto Glass install the windows in the Kombi today. Thoroughly recommend these characters to work on your classics & pride & joy. After about 4 years of restoring she is nearly ready to hit the road, Kimi is very excited!

02.01.2022 Given the challenging and uncertain times ahead of us all, it will be very important to draw on each of the 11 elected Councillors experience and expertise to apply a steady hand to stand and plot a course forward. This will require more than passion, rather it will require a demonstrated ability to stand and make decisions essential to the recovery of our community beyond this current challenge. This council will need to work together for the best interests of the whole regi...on. Focus will need to be firmly on core business of Local Government. Now is a time to focus on what Local Government is renowned for. My campaign was based on this and now more than ever it is vitally important Key areas include: *The efficient cost effective provision of critical and essential services provided to the community. *Safe Secure Sustainable Water supply *A Sewerage network servicing the present and future needs *A responsible Waste Management and Recycling Strategy *A reliable Road Network *Sensible planning *Supporting local economy These topics are some of the need to do’s" rather than the nice to do’s" when trying to balance a budget in a time of challenge and recovery. My diverse skills are across three portfolios and include: *Environment and Community *Planning and Development *Water and Waste These skills will be of great benefit to the new council and of course, I have offered my support and encouragement to the new councillors to help lead and guide. I will, as always be endeavouring to ensure transparency and integrity throughout the decision making processes of council from beginning to end. Thank you for returning me to Council and for your continued support and belief in me. To my family, friends and supporters, heartfelt thank you!
