25.01.2022 Happy birthday to gorgeous Elly who turns 5 today!! Elly really wanted a barbie doll cake for her party on the weekend. This one is chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and the bottom tier is a vanilla cake with mousse filling.

22.01.2022 Another beauty created this weekend. This one is a double barrel red velvet cake with a handmade wafer paper flower. Love the detail of the harvest stencil by @caking_it_up I even got to deliver this over the other side of the city which I haven’t been to in over 6 months. It was so nice to get out and see our beautiful city of Melbourne and reminded me of how much I love where I live and will get to enjoy it again soon enough

13.01.2022 I’m baaackkk!!! Woah what a break that was. We’re still in renovation mode but my kitchen and walk in pantry is complete (well I mean who needs flooring or splashbacks anyways )! I’m so stoked with my new cake space!! So it’s back to cake work for me. I’m now open for orders.... post pandemic. Now celebrations parties and functions are coming back, we can start to feel a little normal again If you’ve got an event happening, hit me up. ... As usual the earlier the better to lock in dates, it’s never too early to pencil things in :)

09.01.2022 Hi everyone We are still going to be closed leading in to a new school term. I’ll be working from home and helping our kids learn from home so there won’t be time for much else including cake making. But we’ll just make the most of it like everything else at the moment and hope that we’ll all be out of this situation soon. I hope everyone had a great Easter! We did here. Lots of chocolate and a little bit of renovating. Although difficult to not celebrate in person with our f...amily, there was lots to be thankful for. From getting our Good Friday lunch delivered to our porch by my sister, delicious treats and some much needed supplies from Nanny, getting some firewood together for our mates, and to me being able to deliver a hot Easter lunch to my mum who is on her own, it was a fulfilling weekend! If anything, this situation has taught us to value things that matter most. I love that we live close to our family and friends and we are able to help each other out in this time. It’s comforting to know however big or small the gestures may be... an are you ok daily phonecall, weekly wine video calls, Easter gifts left at our porch .... its wonderful and humbling that we are surrounded by beautiful people and I will be forever grateful to the wonderful people in our lives This is a big shoutout to them. 08.01.2022 Hi guys! Billy Cakes will be wrapping up shortly for the rest of the year. My last cake will be on 14th September as we undertake some exciting renovations on our house. We will be reopening on the first day back of Term 1, 2020. Let me know ASAP if you’d like to place an order for the next couple of months so I can get organised (if you haven’t already). As my kitchen will be a work zone I’m limiting my cake supply purchases to orders I have booked in and bookings will close next Friday 19th July.

06.01.2022 A poppy for a Poppy. Happy birthday to the gorgeous little Poppy who turned 1 yesterday. I was so happy I was able to create this for her. The cake is layers of pink velvet cake filled with a raffelo buttercream. Even though she couldn’t have a celebration with everyone it was nice to be able to make this for one of my favourite family’s. you Pops xx Thanks to @zaharibydina for the gorgeous edible transfers

05.01.2022 Today my middle girl turns 7! She’s not a fan of cake so this is an ice cream cake. It’s no ordinary ice cream cake either....is a Peter’s Freddo Frog one straight from Coles, her favourite I couldn’t handle serving as is so I had to jazz it up a little with some white chocolate galaxy shards and filled it with chocolate shavings and clinkers and you know what, cake decorator or not, she absolutely loved it! I have no probs sharing things like this, I love doing cakes and decorating but I’ll also do what makes them happy Happy birthday my beautiful Harlee

04.01.2022 Hi everyone Just a note to say, if you haven’t already noticed, I am still closed. The renovations are still going and my new pantry cake storage space is not yet complete . Couple this with the ongoing covid 19 situation, we’ll be keeping our doors closed and staying home until we’re on the other side of this. I implore everyone to please stay home! Take the warnings seriously. I have family and extended family in both the UK and Italy. It’s devastating. This will consume u...s too until people adhere to the warnings. There are plenty of selfish people out there who aren’t listening. I am truly shocked at how many think it’s ok to go about their daily lives like nothing is happening around them, and are willing to put themselves and their families and people they don’t even know lives at risk. It’s irresponsible. Stay home. It’s not hard. The End. See more
