25.01.2022 Namaste, Just a quick reminder that tomorrow night's yoga is our final one for term 2. I shall be taking a short break over the school holidays to resume on Tuesday, July 14 at 6.00pm ... 24.01.2022 Good morning, Just one more sleep till your STRESS MELT RESTORATIVE YOGA tomorrow evening. We commence at 6.00pm so please plan to arrive a few minutes earlier so that I can assist you to get settled in. For your added comfort and enjoyment please wear comfortable clothing in which you can easily move and bring with you the following items: yoga mat 2 blankets... 2-bed pillows bolster if you have one bottle of water eye pillow (optional) I shall look forward to being your guide on this restorative journey. 20.01.2022 Namaste, hoping to see you all tonight for our Sacral chakra focused flow. Also just reminding you all that I shall be away in Rockhampton next Tuesday the 17th November for a workshop so NO yoga on that day. Also, I am away in Brisbane, from the 7th December to the 13th so no yoga on the 8th December too. 18.01.2022 Namaste, Oh it has been a chilly week! 10 frosts in a row at my home. My garden is looking a bit crispy but will bounce back come spring. As we focused on the hips last week I am moving up the body to bring some awareness to the shoulder girdle, upper back and neck where we often hold tight when cold. You will require your bolster, strap and block this week as we shall begin our session in a supported Banda Konassana. Wrap up warm in the evenings and enjoy the beauti...ful winter light. 17.01.2022 Namaste & Good morning to all my beautiful yogis. Thank you for all joining me last night at our final Stress Melt Restorative yoga session. It was lovely to see you all and I hope you enjoyed our final session together for 2020. I would like to wish you all a beautiful and blessed Christmas time with your family and friends. Remember to practice Ahimsa and be kind to yourself as well as others. Christmas can be a stressful time for some so that little bit of extra self-c...are goes a long way. I am doing the same and having a gentle home day today. It has been a big year for me. 15.01.2022 Namaste, Oh, what a beautiful group of yogis on Tuesday evening. I awoke on Wednesday with a bright spring in my step. You all do my heart good. Next week we relieve the tight shoulders and upper back and throat as we explore the 5th Chakra and find our voice, As one would expect, this chakra is connected to our ability to communicate verbally. Voice and throat problems as well as any problems with everything surrounding that area, such as the teeth, gums, and mouth, c...an indicate a blockage. Blocks or misalignment can also be seen through dominating conversations, gossiping, speaking without thinking, and having trouble speaking your mind. When in alignment, you will speak and listen with compassion and feel confident when you speak because you know you are being true to yourself with your words. We will then focus on the energy of your Third eye chakra with the 6th Chakra and find peace in the meditation of the 7th. The 6th chakra: Since this chakra is physically located on the head, blockages can manifest as headaches, issues with sight or concentration, and hearing problems. People who have trouble listening to reality (who seem to know it all) or who are not in touch with their intuition may also have a block. When open and in alignment, it’s thought that people will follow their intuition and be able to see the big picture. A clear open Third eye chakra often gives one the ability to imagine and daydream seeing the potential in all things. The 7th Chakra : The crown chakra is linked to every other chakra (and therefore every organ in this system), and so it affects not just all of those organs, but also our brain and nervous system. It is considered the chakra of enlightenment and represents our connection to our life’s purpose and spirituality. Those with a blocked crown chakra may seem narrow-minded, sceptical, or stubborn. When this chakra is open, it is thought to help keep all the other chakras open and to bring the person bliss and enlightenment

10.01.2022 Namaste, Please join me as we work up through the chakras in our yoga sessions. We will be focusing on the Sacral Chakra Svadhisthana. This is the centre of new birth and creativity and connecting with others. Some more information for you:Namaste, Sarah xx The second chakra, called svadhistana, is located at the lower belly and inner pelvis. Svadhisthana means one’s own abode.... 2nd Chakra’s Natural Element: Water The svadhisthana chakra is associated with water. This energy center offers direct access to flow, flexibility, and fun. Life Motif of the Sacral Chakra In working with this chakra, you will address your relationship with both others and yourself. Personally, you’ll discover you have unlimited creative power; you’ll learn how to cultivate a healthy relationship to pleasure; and you’ll gain insight into your default reactions and deepest emotions. With others, you’ll learn how to express yourself more skillfully and how to begin setting healthy boundaries. Physical Signs of Blocked Svadhisthana Energy When the sacral chakra is out of alignment, you may experience chronic low back pain, ovarian cysts and other reproductive issues, urinary tract infections, impotence, pain during intercourse, complications with the bladder and kidneys, and other pelviclower abdominal issues. Mental Signs of Blocked Svadhisthana Energy Mentally, blocked sacral energy can be associated with addiction, repressed emotions, and lack of creative energy. Energetic Benefits of Aligning the Sacral Chakra When the sacral chakra is in healthy alignment, you will be able to source energy for creativity, movement, procreation, desire, pleasure, and relationships.

We enjoyed a small intimate group last week giving ourselves a little upper back love followed by some restorative asanas. A deeply soothing yoga flow practice catering to all levels of experience with an emphasis on mindful awareness of the unique needs of your body. Last week we started to prepare for our Step into Spring, so this week we flow and fly. Please join me tonight on the mat in another soothing vinyasa flow followed by deep restorative poses to allows all the stress to melt away. 6.00pm, Thangool recreation hall, ... please bring your mat, bolster or 2 firm bed pillows, a blanket and your bottle of water. 07.01.2022 Good morning to all my beautiful yogis, When up early this morning I just loved the smell of wet earth and the air all washed clean. makes me remember how blessed I truly am. We had a lovely session last night with a focus on creating spaciousness in the facia. We shifted quite a lot of stuck energy so do please remember to keep up the water and also your electrolytes and minerals (use a good quality sea or vegie salt) I thought I would now share Seija's commissioned artwork with you all.
