18.01.2022 A little bit of maintenance on our Leahy Blacksmith Shop.

18.01.2022 Because of some building work being done at the Museum and because of the current situation in Australia we will be closed to the public until further notice. Our books can still be purchased through the Bingara Newsagency. Feel free to email if you have a question [email protected] . Thank you for your understanding and support

18.01.2022 Construction has finally finished on our new office and store room. We will announce soon when we will re open. Much cleaning and re arranging to do. Many thanks to our members for their fundraising efforts and Gwydir Shire Council for helping secure the funding needed.

15.01.2022 Just an update. The museum is still closed because of construction work. Hopefully the construction will be finished soon and we will reopen once we are all moved in and the museum gets all gussied up to Welcome Visitors back. A bit of nostalgia with the post. My grandfather gave these blankets as wedding gifts. I’m sure some of you have some buried in the cupboards somewhere

12.01.2022 Today we farewelled Diana. It was such a lovely tribute. She is tremendously missed by us all here. I thought I’d share some pictures from Diana’s 89th Birthday we celebrated at the museum.

05.01.2022 Some of the older residents may find this photo interesting. Eli Brown was well known in the early 1900's . Mary his wife is the daughter of John Edward O'Dell who owned and operated the Bingara cordial factory.

02.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I let our followers know of the passing of one of our very talented Volunteers. Diana passed away yesterday (Friday) 12/7/19.
