20.01.2022 Bingay is gay/drag bingo which means there’s fabulous tunes, weird rules and penalties, outrageous antics, hilarious repartee, deliciously lewd bingo calls, and prizes that range from the silly and camp to great theatre tickets and restaurant vouchers. Dropping balls since 1999, Bingay takes over The Beresford on the second Thursday of each month, with each event set to a fabulously flamboyant theme. Bingay is hosted by Sydney drag star Charisma Belle and Bingay's long-time ...barrel babe Naomi Palmer. Together, the duo deliver a rambunctious and unforgettable night of bingo and balls. One of gay Sydney's much-loved community events, Bingay is also a fundraiser for ACON, NSW leading HIV prevention and LGBTQ health organisation. UPDATE: AUGUST 2020 CANCELLED Following the cancellation of our April, May, June and July events, we regret to announced that our August Bingay (13 August 2020) has also been cancelled. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide an update of our September Bingay in due course. We appreciate your understanding. 17.01.2022 Friend! We're coming back! After seven long months, Bingay is finally ready to return, and we hope you'll join us at our comeback event. We've missed all our Bingay fans and we can't wait to entertain you again. Expect all the usual Bingay trimmings but there will be some major changes to make sure all our punters and staff are safe. Your health and welfare is our top priority so we've implemented a range of COVID safety measures to make sure everyone has a good time under c...urrent public health restrictions and regulations. 16.01.2022 BINGAY CANCELLED FOR APRIL & MAY 2020 ==================================== Dear Bingay fans, friends and supporters... Due to the ongoing threat of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the potential risk this has on our communities, Bingay will be suspended for the next two months. This means our April Bingay (16 April) and our May Bingay (14 May) have both been cancelled. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide an update of our June Bingay in due course. This decision was not made lightly but the health and wellbeing of our punters, supporters, fans, employees, volunteers, venue and production staff, and event partners are of the utmost priority. We appreciate your understanding. People who have purchased tickets to our April Bingay can re-schedule to a future event or get a full refund. Ticket holders will be contacted. 09.01.2022 Happy St Patrick's Day! Our inaugural Irish-themed Bingay held earlier this month drew a rambunctious and lively crowd to The Beresford. Huge thanks to all our patrons, regular and new, for a fantastic night. You helped us raise over $2500 for ACON. To our many sponsors - we thank you for your ongoing support. After seven long months, it was great to entertain all our amazing Bingay fans, friends, guests and, of course, newcomers again. We are truly grateful for all your passion, enthusiasm and support. Thank you, too, for being patient as we navigated our way with our new COVID Safe rules! The welfare of all our guests, staff, performers and volunteers is our priority and we thank you for being gracious and un...derstanding with our new safety/socially distant procedures. For example, as these photos show, for the time being, you don’t come to choose from the selection of prizes, but rather the prize selection comes to you, as all guests must remain seated at all times!
