21.01.2022 We were installing a new tank this morning and came across a baby goanna and some eggs that hadn’t yet hatched. Everything was very carefully relocated so hopefully we will see a few more goannas on the water runs from now on!

10.01.2022 We have almost 70 years of rainfall records for Kiriwina Station. The average rainfall for this area is 400mm, our average for the records we have is sitting around 426mm. Interestingly the average for the last 10 years is 423mm, with 5 years above average and 5 years below but the rain fell in very large falls in short succession rather than across the typical wet season. How far back do your rainfall records go?
