Birdcage Cafe will cease trading as a cafe on Monday the 23rd at midday to comply with the new government guidelines.... We are currently looking at new ways to make sure you receive your daily dose of Campos coffee and our staff can remain employed so please stay tuned. 22.01.2022 Thank you. I’ll be honest, I thought this weekend would be quiet. I bought into the hysteria and presumed the worst but it turned out to be busy. why? Amazing Humans. Our cafe has been busy all weekend because so many of you are just going about your lives and also making the choice to support local businesses more than ever. We have increased our already high hygiene standards, as have you all and this means we can go out and support our local economy. We are all about serving great food, coffee and service to our local customers and using local suppliers and staff. Cook / Chef de Partie: Would suit someone that has already worked in Melbourne Cafes, has a minimum of 2 years experience, can handle working in a busy environment. Must be available weekends. On offer is a true work life balance, flexible hours and... award pay rates and plenty of training. Waitstaff: Would suit Uni student interested in coffee and food. Must be friendly and eager to please customers. Opportunity to learn all things coffee and potential for more hours for the right candidate. Plenty of training on offer. Dish-Hand: Would suit junior looking for weekend hours. Can handle fast paced environment and can work well in a team. 15.01.2022 What is this??? 12 months ago we approached all of our suppliers to make sure we were aligning ourselves with like-minded businesses. We did change some suppliers but we were encouraged to find out we were not in this alone. Shopping local is increasingly more important but it is not just about spending money at a local business, it is making sure that local business is supporting local suppliers and that their suppliers are supporting local producers. What’s is this? Laverton Community Integrated Services Inc. TOID: 6408 let us know that they were short on pasta, so we mentioned this to our local supplier Complete Food Services Melbourne. Not a day later CFS delivered 180kgs of pasta to help families in our community in need. The benefits of shopping local are endless.

10.01.2022 Have you visited your local Butcher lately? We collect our meat from Paddock To Table every week and this week we were able to take the kids. Daniel & Frank were more than happy to give the kids a quick lesson in where their meat comes from, how they take care of their animals and how it comes to be on our plates. The kids have so many questions and it's inspiring to hear these guys answer them all truthfully and with passion.

We are so excited to bring you what’s next! Here are the details so far: We will open for Dine-In service starting this Friday the 30th of October. Our trading hours will be extended to a 3pm closing time.... The majority of our seating will be outdoors and therefore we will be unable to take bookings at this time. The weather is just too unpredictable. We have never had an issue with seating "walking in's in the past so we expect, with a little patience, everyone will gain a seat. With over $1000 worth of prizes on offer from our traders in the charity raffle and a massive turnout from the local community we managed to raise $3470.40 for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal! Thank you to all of the traders, the band, the local Station 46 Melbourne Fire Brigade and Lani for the ENDLESS face-painting. This community never ceases to amaze and this contribution will go a long way to help show our mates on the south coast that we are all here for them.

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday) Birdcage will be open for takeaways only and we will trade from 7am to 1pm, 7 Days a week. We will have coffee, a full food offering and your basic needs such as bread, milk, eggs and our chefs will be putting together fruit and veg baskets and take-home meals over the coming days. Your p...art: - Please Please Please download the Hey You preorder app so we don't have people gathering in the cafe. Order 10mins before your arrival and you should be able to grab and go. All food and drinks are available through the app. Our loyalty program will also be strictly through the app for the time being. - We will no longer be excepting KeepCups or cash payments. - You can still order and pay by card instore but after ordering please wait outside and we will bring it to you. - We will still be offering a car delivery service through the Hey You app and we intend to implement a delivery service over the next few weeks.
