21.01.2022 Some birds decided to build a nest not in, but between our birdhouses. We found it when relocating these Dosshouses. Luckily no eggs or bird to be found, so a quick clean up and on to the next job I didn't rest as much as I should of yesterday, but am okay today after more denailing.... A funny story, yesterday Rod came for help as he dropped the forklift into a rabbit hole. Luckily he hadn't stacked fence panels in front of the shed for the tractor. So the old tractor towed the forklift out and the panels have to stay put until the ground dries out. He manually moved the panels he needed and I now have more denailing every day for the next week! 21.01.2022 Our very own Leaning Tower of Pisa Rod rolled and welded a few rings up yesterday for some 9 band garden orbs. You might just spot him working behind the tower of 400mm rings He is making 400, 600 & 800mm Garden Otbs. He won't be happy when he realises I have pinched his rack for storing the Tangled Hearts. As he always says "I can always make another" when he sells a sculpture I wanted to keep ... Kate helped me yesterday, packing & storing rusted stock in the shed before it rained last night. A visit to Bunnings today to purchase more containers and our storage yard will be clear for an overhaul. More soil to level up where we place bunting and numbers for rusting plus a barrier to stop soil moving around when it rains. 19.01.2022 My stack of palings are all denailed and oops I overdid it, so my foot will get to rest today. I get to sit down and be lookout for the delivery truck with our timber order This is the custom birdbath with gum leaves, ordered by a local customer that Rod just finished. I say local as this bird bath is welded together in one piece and is too expensive to transport. It has been pressure washed so it can rust away before it is needed as a gift at the end of the month. Our custom orders are made and sitting outside to rust with the forecast rain this weekend. This Feeding Ring has the customised name, butterflies and a triple flower Any of our rusty garden art can be sealed with Penetrol to halt the rusting and any leaching on paintwork etc. Keep in mind that Penetrol will... also darken the colour of the rust. Still need to spread the mulch and reorganise, but it feels better already These large Bee, Butterfly and Dragonfly stakes were gathered together and now have a new resting spot ... Our standard one is 3 quarters rusted and the customised one is getting there. You can tell by the yellow newness of the rust rather than the deeper solid orange-red.
