23.01.2022 There are groups that are working to try and save our wild birds from extinction but they need people like you and me to tell people that these birds and groups need help. The problem with some birds it that they don’t have the bright colours or the size to get people’s attention. The Mallee emu-wren and Black-eared Miner made the news this years as whole populations were believed to have been wiped out by fires. You can read on The Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife’s website about how with the right plan and funding people can save these birds http://www.fnpw.org.au/plants-a-//lord-howe-island-woodhen and find out about the Carnaby’s black cockatoo recovery program by visiting the BirdLife website http://birdlife.org.au/pro/carnabys-black-cockatoo-recovery

17.01.2022 Queensland is alive. I spent two hours tonight finding and emailing the clubs and they have started responding. It's surprising how hard it is to find clubs even when I know they exist. So if you are in Qld, keep an eye on the site as more will be updated.

01.01.2022 It has been a tough few years for aviculture in Australia with attacks from Animal Rights Groups, droughts, Facebook closing groups and clubs seeing fewer people at their meetings to know everyone stuck at home and all events around the country cancelled or postponed. We are talking this time to redesign the website and try to get a new app off the ground that will help unite Aviculture in Australia. So please take a few minutes to go to our website and sign up to our mailing... list to show your support for the new app. Thank you and please stay home. https://www.birdsale.com.au/

01.01.2022 This ad was posted in a bird group here on Facebook and the first person did not know it was a scam and the second person was just going to have some fun with the scammer. The third person was me as I like to worn people and report these posts to the admin as I know from a test I did that some people can’t see a scam even one as clear as this. In one of the groups I run I did a test by setting up a fake profile that I made to look fake and posted an ad selling macaws. I got t...hree people that inquired about the birds and to so start with they had no idea it was a scam. I did have one person post on the ad that it was a scam and I thanked them and explained want I was doing before remove their post so I could continue the test. If you see a scam you should report it to the group admin and post on it that it is a scam to worn others but you do need to be careful as I have seen people accuse real people of being scammers and it didn’t end well.
