25.01.2022 How lovely to get a note like this after what I would classify as a steep learning curve on Saturday! I may be able to bake but I sure as hell am challenged in the prepack distribution area. Sorry for the delay to those people waiting last Saturday but nothing left at the end of the journey (unlike some of my Ikea projects)so mission accomplished!. 21.01.2022 It’s nice to have some time to actually try new products that have been on my list for a while. I’m not actually a cake eater but put custard in something and I’m sold! I’ve always been a fan of vanilla slice (aka snot block) but I’m fussy and there are some dreadful versions out there! Mine is crunchy butter puff pastry, vanilla bean custard - made with real vanilla and eggs not custard powder and a passionfruit icing. Added to this week’s menu because I want to eat ...some. 11.01.2022 Decided to have friends over for a kitchen dinner saturday night after the market. Having friends in the wine industry and their partners means some seriously good wine was brought in from private stashes. I made horsdeovres, twice baked roquefort souffles with salad and caramelized pears, bouillabaisse, dark chocolate tart with icecream and a cheese platter! The flowers were a thankyou gift and were superb. A fab night despite starting at 3am and ending at 1am!!
