25.01.2022 To the awesome kind hearts that donated clothes and cash towards the two children with birthdays today...YOURE THE BEST . We actually ended up providing for 3 kids as we were also advised of a little takker turning 2. The message Ive just received is as much yours as it is ours. The clothes you purchased with the gifts we added plus the cupcakes and party food (paid for by the cash donations received) made it a day to remember for some pretty awesome kids.... Read the message below...it just reinforces why we do what we do and why we need to keep doing it . Thank you for helping us make this day a special one for these kids
25.01.2022 Last Saturday was one of our biggest weekends ever with 4 birthdays to be celebrated. The children at one location had a joint party with the other children at the refuge while the fourth, Master 1, had his celebration at a different location. Thanks to donations received last week, we bought the rainbow cake for all 3 birthday kids to share with the other kids. We also made them their very own special birthday cupcake so they still got to blow a candle out and make a wish.... Thanks also go to Emma who went out of her way to purchase some additional gifts to make the birthdays kids feel extra extra special on their day. Thanks Emma, your support of us over the last week has helped us grow our supporter base and provided us with an exciting new opportunity Huge thanks to Laras Little Creations for the absolutely SWEET birthday cake for Master 1. 23.01.2022 We are really happy that we are finally able to start planning our first fundraising event for this year. Hands up those who remember our inaugural fundraiser - the Black Tie Burger & Beer Night last August? This event SOLD OUT (we even had a wait list ) and raised over $3600 from our glam guests. Well....it's BACK. With a a fun twist that will be revealed soon. ... Let's just say, you won't want to miss out . A genuine heart, he is a great supporter of ours and is always generous with his time, wisdom and knowledge no matter how in demand he is. He surprised me with this today.... 22.01.2022 We received a message today about two children who have birthdays this weekend. Both families are homeless We have some wonderful gifts to give them but as it's so cold, we'd love to add some warm clothing.... As Ellenbrook now have their very own Kmart (and we all know how amazing their prices are), are there any locals who would be willing to buy a fleecy hoodie to add to the gifts for these children? A sherpa lined girl's hoodie (size 12) is $20 while the boy's one (size 10) is $17. Anything new and warm would be a wonderful addition to their gifts. Gifts can be dropped off to our donation box at Laneway Seven or PM us and we may be able to pick up (Ellenbrook area only). I will be delivering the gifts on Saturday at 3pm so it would be great if any items could be donated by lunchtime Saturday. (pics below are from Kmart website)
21.01.2022 A wonderful honour received today . Thank you to the Ellenbrook Community Collective and Ellenbrook Central. The support Ive received from so many people and businesses since beginning Birthdays From The Heart has been amazing. Its heartwarming to know that there are many others who believe, as I do, that disadvantaged children deserve to celebrate their special day. But this recognition is not mine alone - I need to share it with my daughter Elyse, who has been there e...very step of the way. She knows what it was like to be that kid who missed out and now she's just as determined to make sure that other kids dont miss out. Thank you sweetheart . If ever theres been a time we need donations, its now. Due to COVID-19, we had to cancel the fundraiser we had planned for April and our August event may also have to be shelved due to restrictions on numbers for social gatherings, which has left our bank account seriously low. Thanks to New West Foods (WA) Pty Ltd we are ok for party food, but we have not much left to purchase party ware, decorations or gifts. So please, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. 20.01.2022 Following on from last night's post about all the great things from the weekend......this Appreciation Post is for Lorenda and her work colleagues. Lorenda decided to host a gift drive at her work and on Sunday, she delivered this treasure trove of goodies. As I mentioned previously, the range of gifts was brilliant and the cute little babies clothes had us oohing and ahhing over how darn cute they were.... But wait....there's more! Tucked into a little organza bag was $300 . You heard right....Three. Hundred. Dollars!! These gorgeous people donated not only gifts, but have literally gifted us the ability to provide complete parties for more kids as the cash will be used to purchase party food. And this story doesn't end just yet. Lorenda told me the beautiful story behind one of the donations - a mum who, after explaining to her daughters about Birthdays From The Heart and who we helped, took them to the shops and let them choose a gift they wished to purchase for a less fortunate child to receive. This is such a touching story - kids caring about other kids and wanting to help . Lorenda, please let these girls know how much their kindness means not only to us, but also to the kids who will get to enjoy the gifts they chose. Thank you so much Lorenda, for following us and supporting us by hosting a gift drive and delivering it all to us. 20.01.2022 Now that our Black Tie Burger & Beer Night is out of the way, we can catch up with posting about all the wonderful donations we have been receiving. HUGE thanks to Shane & Tanya of Shane's Madhouse and Mystical Madness (124 Lennard Street, Herne Hill). Not only did they attend our Black Tie night (and picked up some pretty cool auction items), they have donated this treasure trove of goodies to our Birthday Store.... Thanks Shane and Tanya, we appreciate all the support you have given us . 15.01.2022 Since we began providing Birthdays 18 months ago, we've heard some pretty sad stories. In the last week, it's been even more heartbreaking . Last Saturday it was Master 11's birthday, today is Master 14's.... Two different families.....sharing the same tragic circumstances. Homelessness! Both children live with their parent and siblings in a car. Let that sink in for a minute . 15.01.2022 Can you spare $2? Our bank account is desperate! If COVID didnt exist, we would have already held one fundraising event and would just about be having our second.... Unfortunately though, we had to cancel both . Which leaves us with pretty much nothing left in our bank account. We have 565 followers if each of them donated just $2 we would have $1,130 that would help us continue to provide birthday parties to kids in need across Perth. Could you help us with a $2 donation? 15.01.2022 Today is the day two brothers celebrate their birthday with their wonderful Mum and family. Master A turns 5 helped along by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Master L turning 9 with the help of one of the greatest superheros - Superman! Mum picked some pretty awesome gifts for her boys that they are going to have so much fun with.... An extra addition for Master 5 was the donation of a TMNT shell and face masks, by one of our followers Jay . He LOVED them. All in all, it was another successful and happy delivery that will see two boys celebrate their birthday with their loved ones. Happy Birthdays Masters A and L, we hope you enjoy your day
12.01.2022 CAKE UPDATE: We are happy to say that we have received more than enough to purchase the cake. The remaining funds will be put towards buying party food for the kids . Thank you to all who donated . HELP REQUIRED ... Ok, so theres a slight change of plans for the 4 parties...they are ALL this Saturday . Which means there is no time for our bakers to make all the cakes required. So we have to resort to Plan B...which is buy a cake. Would anyone be willing to donate a few dollars so we could buy one of these from The Cheesecake Shop?
11.01.2022 RIP Ethan Tragically this brave little boy lost his battle yesterday and is now flying high with the angels. Love and prayers to his family, we cannot begin to understand their pain at losing their beloved son .

Without doubt, one of the best parts of what we do is the wonderful people we meet and today was no different. To Briettas mum - we have all our fingers and toes crossed for the good news that we just know you will get next week. Despite reduced capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions, we still managed to smash last year’s total by $2000. Everyone who was involved - hosting, attending, donating - all contributed to making the evening such a HUGE success and each one of you will be directly responsible for creating memories & putting smiles on the faces of so many kids and their mums. So many important people to thank please read through them all and please support the businesses who supported us . Elyse, Vee & Fadzai this wouldn’t have been possible without you. A truly remarkable team that I’m proud to be a part of. Vee & Fadzai were the geniuses behind all those awesome auction items. Cate & Kevin yet again, you were amazing! So we are really happy that we are able to give them a birthday party to enjoy with their friends. Master 4 has chosen an Avengers party while Master 10 is soccer mad.... We. Cant. Wait.
08.01.2022 The Two Princes Part One Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there lived a Queen and her two little princes - Prince Nicholas and Prince Labron .... As the Princes birthdays drew near, Queen Tracey explained to them that there were many children across the land who would not get gifts and cake on their birthday. But why?, asked the young Princes. Sometimes sad things happen to families and they do not have enough money for a gift or a cake explained Queen Tracey. We want to help?, said Princes Nicholas and Labron. How can we help? they asked. Because you have so much already, maybe Instead of your friends giving you a gift, you could ask them to donate to a place that gives gifts and cake to the children who dont have much?, Queen Tracey said. We want to do that, both Princes said at once. Do you know of a place that does that?, they asked of their Mum. Yes, my Princes, I do, replied Queen Tracey. And so it began..... .....as the first donation was received from a guest invited to Nicholas & Labrons birthday. 08.01.2022 Natalie and her friends have been supporting us with gift donations for 2 years now. This is the latest haul of fantastic goodies Nat dropped off to us yesterday. What you cant see in the photos are all the extra bits - decorations, lootbags, table scatters, spoons - all the little bits that also go into a Birthday.... Amazing right! 06.01.2022 A birthday party delivery today with a sprinkle of puppy rescue . Master W turns 13 on Monday but celebrated with a party today and we hear he had great fun with his family and friends. Hell certainly enjoy the awesome pressies his Mum chose for him . Thank you Nardine Refuge for reaching out to us. It felt so good to get back into the Birthday swing after months of uncertainty and restrictions .... The happiest of Birthdays to you Master W, it was lovely to meet you and your Mum, so glad we could be a part of your day today . And just as I was about to get back in my car, a cute little puppy came racing across the road to me. Gosh did I get a lot of love from that little wriggle pot . No tag on her collar so had to Google a vet to drop her off. Im happy to say that the vet called a couple of hours later to say shed been picked up by her owner . So its been an all round wonderful day today
05.01.2022 We have had a mammoth weekend - our interview was aired on ABC morning radio....delivered two parties....picked up a car load of amazing gifts.....had another load of amazing gifts delivered along with a very large cash donation....had another donation into our bank account.....received a number of pretty cool emails with exciting offers and words of encouragement. Each one of these things is so important to us so we are going to post about each one separately because all th...ese kind hearts deserve their own acknowledgement We couldn't have fit anymore in our if we'd tried. This amazing haul consisted not only of some pretty cool gifts, but also tableware (plain coloured and a couple of themes we didn't have) AND party food!! Coordinated by the very kind Emma and supported by the wonderful generous people she knows in Bayswater, they did a brilliant job by donating such a range of items - each one of which will help make a child's birthday extra special. We never fail to be excited when going through a donation such as this as we love to see all the different kinds of gifts that people think of to donate - each child we help is different and thanks to donations like this, our Birthday Store is always stocked with a wide variety of gifts for the Mums to choose from for their child. And when the donation includes tableware (either themed or plain coloured) and food/drink, it means less that we have to purchase which means we end up being able to help more kids . So, to Emma and everyone who donated, a big THANK YOU, we really appreciate your support

You will know from the message we posted last night, that your gift meant so much to those children and their parents. Blankets By Boys donated the two gorgeous packs containing a hand knitted blanket, scarf and beanie. A beautiful addition to the clothes.
