17.01.2022 PHYSIO OPEN FOR BUSINESS As the COVID-19 landscape is evolving, we would like to reinforce that we remain OPEN at this time. The government recommendations and new restrictions still allow for you leave your home to attend medical and/or health appointments, this includes Physiotherapy. Your health matters to us, so we have implemented enhanced measures in our practices to ensure that we are able to keep our doors open to help those in pain and in need of Physiotherapy treat...ment. The current changes in place include: -Remedial Massage is still available for those requiring this as part of their Physiotherapy treatment. -We will be aiming to limit appointments to 30 minutes where possible. -Our increased cleaning and sanitising measures will continue to be upheld in both our practices. Robin Kerr (one of our principal physiotherapist) has worked through the SARS outbreak in Hong Kong and has helped us implementing a strict routine. We are also currently using Hospital Grade Air Purifier for extra security. If you can't come to us, we can come to you through Telehealth, our new online Physio service. There are many things we are doing as professionals to minimise risk of exposure through rigorous hygiene practices and patient screening to keep you and our staff safe. So, you are welcome to come in for your treatment, subject to our screening processes. However, if you are in self-isolation or would prefer to minimise contact in any way, you may like to consult with us via Telehealth. Telehealth uses digital technology thats readily available on your computer or phone to receive treatment from our physio. It is safe and effective, and our physios are trained to deliver telehealth consultations. Our 30 minute consultation via telehealth is $70; a 15 minute consultation just $35. You can use your private health insurance as well with Telehealth appointments. 03.01.2022 Working from home? Thanks to Covid-19 almost 90% of businesses are encouraging employees to work from their homes, but are we taking the right steps to look after our body? There are many little things we can do to help prevent neck and back pain from working long hours at home. Getting up every 20-30 minutes to walk or stretch to relax muscles and promote circulation is very important. Alternating between sitting and standing to work is good too but make sure you arent standing for extended hours as well.
