22.01.2022 Days of prayer in St Stephen’s Chapel for Archbishop John Bathersby. At 5 pm tonight his body will be received into the Cathedral of St Stephen as we begin the Funeral liturgies. Archbishop John oversaw the restoration of St Stephen’s Chapel as a shrine to St Mary MacKillop. Her prayers have joined those of all who have been to the Chapel in these past days to pray for Archbishop John.

10.01.2022 Yesterday I began a Pastoral visitation of Nerang Parish. They have even erected a welcome banner for me! Last year I was present when a time capsule was opened for their 25th anniversary. Yesterday I buried a new capsule to be open on their 50th anniversary. Thanks David Sewell and school community for your welcome.

07.01.2022 It has been good to celebrate the Easter Triduum at All Saints Albany Creek. These ceremonies were live streamed uniting the Parish throughout this unusual Easter. 02.01.2022 Flowers and the Paschal Candle mark the place of the Cathedral burial vault where Archbishop John Bathersby was buried yesterday. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for Archbishop John in these recent days since his death on Monday 9 March. These have been blessed days of remembrance and thanksgiving.
