07.01.2022 Hi everyone ! I hope everyone who attended our Quiz night on Friday enjoyed themselves. I know I had a good time in amongst all the running around !! Id like to thank all those who came along to be a part of it, and your generous donations during the evenings events. I havent calculated the final amount raised yet, but by all accounts it was a very successful fundraiser for the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund for the Waroona/Yarloop fire victims. I hope to announce the f...inal figure later this week. Now I must apologise, as I forgot the most important part of the evening on Friday, which was to thank all those who helped put the event together. So a BIG THANKYOU to those who helped setup & packup the venue, to the brigade members who worked the evening behind the bar and in the kitchen, to Daniel & Pete who got all the drinks organised before & after, to Jon & Jocelyn for running the Quiz itself, to Moira for the $100 money board, and to Jess who helped me sort the multitude of silent auctions. Thanks to all those brigade members and business sponsors whom donated all the items for prizes & auctions & catering we received an overwhelming number of valuable items from people wanting to help from all over the community. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. And on behalf of the Wanneroo Central brigade, the BIGGEST THANKYOU goes to Bianca, whose original idea this was, and who volunteered to organise the entire event from the ground up. I have reports that Bianca and her mum arrived at the venue completely buried in prizes and pizzas in my 4WD just being able to peek through the windscreen I hope no one got ran over.. (PS, Id like to mention that Bianca is now running BISU Events & Entertainment, contact her on 0417 189 871 if you want an awesome event organised for you in the future.) I hope I didnt miss anyone.
