17.01.2022 This large native bush sloping block presented a great opportunity for something special. A new double storey family home was proposed, seeking to sit into the hill and minimise the amount of vegetation removal required by keeping the footprint as small as possible. By building upwards it further enhances the reality of living 'in the trees', as well as presenting the fantastic views. To suit the natural environment a palette of aussie bush colours is preferred, while cladd...ing is to keep the aussie bush homestead feel with corrugated colorbond and feature timber areas. The pitched roof ties in with this character, while disguising contemporary internal living & alfresco vaulted ceilings. Ground floor presents with garaging, office, rumpus and storage, while all living is done on the top floor where only the sky, trees, hills and distant roof tops can be seen. Smart design utilising the hillside and construction techniques endeavours to keep to the budget, while maximising the opportunities of this fantastic secluded site. 2020 - In construction right now! 14.01.2022 Well what a different year 2020 has turned out to be for all of us! and its not over yet. But here @ BKDD we have continued at full throttle. Thanks to all our clients and building colleagues as we seek to make these dreams become reality. Here is a sample of just some of our projects worked on during 2020 so far, in 3D render format. These help to communicate the proposed design to the clients, but also later provide the vision to the builder and other trades.... Lots of various types of projects, big and small.
