24.01.2022 Sunday 27th June is world PTSD day. It will also be four years to the day, since Jesse Bird took his own life. On this day we will remember every veteran and fi...rst responder lost. Please join us at the Adelaide War Memorial, 9.00am to 4.00pm Sunday 27/06/2021 and tie a yellow ribbon. We must never forget. Thank you for your service Jesse. If you can't make it, please tie a yellow ribbon wherever you are. See more
22.01.2022 The 7th of June marks National Military Working Dog day, acknowledging the exceptional work and sacrifice of one our militaries greatest assets. 3 CER’s special...ly trained Explosive Detection Dogs and handlers form part of this tight-knit-group! The Explosive Detection Dogs (EDD) first appeared in 1981, when the Royal Australian Engineers (RAE) ceased training Mine Dogs and began training the modern EDD. This unique and effective capability is a force multiplier that provides manoeuvrability and survivability support to commanders, and has been utilised in most modern conflicts where Improvised Explosive Devices have been encountered. They enable a search task to be conducted quickly and with a high degree of reliability, making them one of the most highly valued and frequently requested assets overseas. An essential part of a dog team is the bond between the handler and their dog. This bond runs deep, and the mutual trust and affection shared between handler and dog is a driving force in trying moments. It is strengthened from time spent together, as well as the effort the handler puts into the care and training of their EDD. Each dog will only have one handler at any time, and the trust placed in those four paws grows every day. The bond is so strong that most handlers take their dogs with them when they retire The day is also the anniversary of the death of Sapper Darren Smith, Sapper Jacob Moreland & Explosive Detection Dog Herbie in 2010 in Afghanistan. Sadly Darren was the first dog handler KIA (Killed In Action) while working a Military Dog within the ADF. Lest we forget. #FollowtheSapper #Ubique #ClydesdaleSQN

On top of the well said comments below, we would also like to thank all those that assisted behind the scenes, and those who donated prizes, vouchers, Pizza’s and most importantly their time and effort. Michael from Marcellina’s Curtis Rd, The lads from the Midway Tavern,... And everyone else that helped put the event together, supported and came out for the ride. See more
17.01.2022 Even though we have our mugs in the paper, we actually hate being in the limelight, but when we were approached by a reporter to help highlight veteran suicide ...awareness and some of the available assistance groups, we jumped at it. If you hadn’t seen/read the article, here’s a copy. I’ve been told that in tomorrow’s Adelaide Advertiser, there will be a story on our Black Ops - Veterans Garage If you’re in Radelaide, Please go out and buy a copy. Special thanks to all involved and Bec DiGirolamo for running the story. See more

15.01.2022 Dear Muppet, As you're being loaded into the Sunday Special ambulance after some oversight on your part, I want you to consider this. No, seriously consider it.... You failed. It's not the road's fault, or the bike's fault, or the car's fault. It's your fault. You are shit at riding, and that is obvious. But do you know why you're shit at riding? Because you don't ride enough. Once a week doesn't cut it. Going out for a Sunday blast means that one Sunday, you ain't coming home. Once a month? Dude, buy a car, because you're gonna die on that bike you don't ride enough. I know it's hard for people to ride everyday. They have to go to work and it's just all too hard to find somewhere to park your bike, huh? You may have other interests, other hobbies, or a girlfriend that doesn't want her hair mussed up. Or it's raining, or it's windy, or it's just too damn far. Or something. That's all fine. No issue. That is the hill you have chosen to die on, and more power to you. Just understand this: You will never be any good at this motorcycle-riding business because you don't have the passion. And without passion, there is no joy. And there is certainly no expertise. You can't be great at something, or even good at it, if you don't love it to the exclusion of all other things, and do it ALL THE TIME - because to NOT do it, is unthinkable. Think about that as they're sliding you into the meat-wagon. Think about how much better you could have gone into that bastard corner if you'd ridden corners like that a million times, rather than maybe 20 times in the last year. And don't ride safe - you can't. Ride well. Then you'll be safe.

13.01.2022 The photograph that has had the most impact on me is this one. It is truly one of the most incredible examples of mateship I have ever seen. The photograph was ...taken at the Anzac Day March in London in 1919. An Australian soldier, who lost both his legs, being carried into Australia House by a mate to obtain a position of vantage to view the Anzac Day March through the streets. Every Australian should see this photograph and understand that to those Australians who have served their country in war, mateship meant everything. Lest We Forget. Photograph came from the Australian War Memorial. Image file number AWM H18643.
10.01.2022 Today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the awesome husband and wife team that is Gawler Battery World. Please like their page and see them for your next battery needs. https://www.facebook.com/BatteryWorldGawler/
09.01.2022 We need a favour (actually three). We need veterans and families to stand together, we now have momentum and we must keep our cries loud. Favour 1: can you ema...il any or all of the email addresses below and thank them for their support for our fallen veterans and those living in pain. All of these politicians were sympathetic and heard us. Regardless of your political allegances we must remember to thank those who are helping us as we continue our work towards the well being of all our veterans with a Royal Commission. A little thanks goes a long way FAVOUR 2: Even if you have signed the petition (link below) share it again, we need this petition to go around the nation and get the numbers that the Morrison government cannot ignore. FAVOUR 3: Please accept our personal thanks for the support that you showed for all our veterans on the anniversary of Jesse Bird's death. Not one more. (and thank you for sending in your photos, sorry if we missed some, there were many) [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] (tony brought along quite a few of his team) [email protected] [email protected] senator.hanson@@aph.gov.au (for Jennifer Game) https://www.change.org/p/a-royal-commission-into-the-vetera #vetsweforget #dvadontcareifyoudie #dontenlistuntilitsfixed

03.01.2022 Open ride this Saturday, everyone is welcome
03.01.2022 Sent from a friend, This shit has to end SCOMO. Attended a funeral today in Kingaroy for a young man whose life was cut short by his own doing. What a visceral emotional experience. From the numbers i have seen we are sitting at around 650 soldiers lost to suicide since 2001. Please put your hand up. Talk. Just do it. Get help, dont be the grey man. ... My condolences to his family i hope they can heal and that his two little ones get the support they deserve. His CO Wing Commander Mark Sartori gave a heavily emotional eulogy, not a dry eye in the house. Rest in piece digger your duty is done. See more
