25.01.2022 Result of not being in the garden for a few days

24.01.2022 Chicken on the inside of the fence. I reckon they want to get away from the rooster who is a bit frustrated with 3 hens brooding and only 2 to service. So those 2 escape by flying into the garden

24.01.2022 Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Bay made for cardboard, wicking beds in good progress, tank in chicken pen covered with poolcover to stop algae and some remulching

24.01.2022 After totally neglecting for 3 months, no watering, chooks and guinea fowls going through, this is the situation this morning

23.01.2022 Interlinked wicking beds as per #MistyRidge design. Work in progress

22.01.2022 Attacking a totally overgrown area with citrus fruit trees, a bit more than halfway now

20.01.2022 First time that this rosebush has so many flowers.

20.01.2022 Someone is chewing the pipes in the chookpen, when turning water on I discovered massive holes and after cutting off the offending bit, it turned out that whoever is chewing, chewed further along the line.

19.01.2022 Protecting trees fro chickens. Will post better pictures soon

15.01.2022 And a pepino, another delicious fruit, tastes like rockmelon

14.01.2022 Remains of guinea fowl found near dam, and on closer inspection, there was an egg ??? On a more cheerful note, the bees seem to do okay, extraction in progress, I had my first radishes, the Flaming Illawarra tree is in full flower as is my lily.

09.01.2022 Guinea fowls are great at weeding

08.01.2022 Getting there, very slowly but surely. Veggies grown in potting mix are very poor, the ones in home made mix are doing much better

08.01.2022 With the help of Marnie from Misty Ridge, planted 3 more wicking beds. Really need someone standing next to me as my black thumb keeps stuffing everything up. Had to empty my tubs which I did in a hurry before going overseas. Too much water at the bottom, not enough sand. Ah well, as long as I learn from my mistakes!

07.01.2022 Not permculture per se but today we finished horse training area and terrassed it so that we can plant goat resistant plants. And finished the ramp. Glad I asked someone to do it rather than attempting it myself. It was done 10 times faster and 100 times better!

05.01.2022 Almost done, thanks to Ken and Tim from #MistyRidge

04.01.2022 Mulching slowly but surely. Will see how long it lasts

03.01.2022 First collection of white mulberries. They are delicious
