11.01.2022 So far we've had around 65% hatch from our Quail & there still hatching. I can hear one pipping in the hatcher at the moment. This is what goes on here building farming & music. So its three times round "Sunny sailor boy" & I'm off to bed.

04.01.2022 What a fantastic couple of months here at the Blacksmiths Keep: The vege patch is all dug up in preparation for new planting. We became parents to 31 quail who are now all fully grown and settling in nicely to their new abode. The decking only has 2 thirds to go and then it shall be finished (YEHAAA) The Orchard is looking good, the grass is all mowed, the firewood is all chopped and stacked for winter and the trees and plants are coming along nicely. Wwoofer Kerrys parents came over from Scotland and spent a couple of nights on the farm. Lots of whisky drinking!!!! Kerry finishes up on the farm tomorrow after completing her 88 days towards her 2nd year visa. To celebrate, we are both recording a folk song in a local studio for a charity CD then hitting the pub for some farewell drinks and cheers!
