24.01.2022 We have been treated to natural beauty, sights and moments on Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia. A bake day, outdoors in the cool clean air of this pristine area. The Black Stone Baker and past student, Meg.... getting amongst it.

23.01.2022 Being on the road has given me some time to reflect on Black Stone Bakery and our wonderful time in the Northern rivers region. The fantastic people, artists, Philosophers writers, providores, growers, makers and bakers that we met along the way. So blessed to share your space, thoughts and energy. A truly learning experience and the joy of counting many as solid friends...Our time (defragging ) at Woody Head and subsequent journey travelling South has been cleansing and revi...siting baking "on the wallaby" has been an interesting challenge, taking on real time ferments coupled with baking in a totally different oven has focused this bakers energy. Great fun and pretty respectful breads...visiting and chewing the crust with Master Baker Warwick Quintin (#TheSourdoughBaker)where he is currently building a new teaching facility then moving down into the goldfields region of Victoria hunting out original scotch ovens some of which were built in the late 1800,s...Had a lovely visit to just such an oven in Harcourt, where Jodi and Dave of #Blumesbakery graciously spared their time to show us through their enterprise, having renovated and rebuilt the original oven and baking room.. offering delightfully true Sourdoughs to the locals and travellers alike. ..Just in the middle of a bake so I must pay attention but here are a few pics See more

11.01.2022 Pretty tough bake day today without the help of Harvey Archibald keeping an eye on things to make sure I am on course. With our very last bake for Kyoglians at #sugarbowlcafe (thank you Shelley) Saturday I would just like to thank all our supporters who for the last 4 years have made Black Stone Bakery possible. Your energy, love and encouragement has been food for our souls. From long bake days, markets long lunches(thank you Deb) and workshops at Two Hoots, Kath and I have had a blast. Keep the Faith, live long and prosper
