13.01.2022 In our Cycle 1 program the children have access to chalkboards and paper to practise their writing. The chalkboards help the child be able to easily correct any mistakes they make, once the child feels comfortable using the chalkboard they can access paper to write on. The young child loves perfection and precision; the chalkboards allow this human tendency to be expressed elegantly.

02.01.2022 A two year old washing dishes in our Bluebells room after Morning Tea. The essence of independence is to be able to do something for ones self. Adults work to finish a task, but the child works in order to grow, and is working to create the adult, the person that is to be. Such experience is not just play... it is work he must do in order to grow up. - Maria Montessori
