A timely message in the midst of this years bunch of new years resolutions! As many of you will be aware, our State Premier this morning announced a few changes that will affect what happens in churches from tomorrow. In particular:... * There is a 100 person limit for places of worship; and * Masks will be mandatory for all people over the age of 12 Given attendance patterns over the last few weeks, we don't expect to break capacity tomorrow - so please do come along if you're able to! However, from next Sunday, we're going to be re-introducing the need to book-a-seat. It's an opportunity for us to share the joy of Christmas with people in need in a practical way, and represent the generosity and grace of Jesus. Every year we manage to send off a large number of boxes, and we'd love to send more this year. We're collecting imperishable food and toys (see the link below for ideas) to provide those in difficult circumstances. 07.01.2022 So much has changed in the past few months. Weve had to re-think how we work, how we see the doctor, how we do our shopping, and, of course, how we do church. While we havent been able to gather in person, weve been meeting together online in various ways. And as restrictions on gathering begin to ease, we want to consider the kind of church we will return to. Although we dont yet know when, at some point we will return to gathering together. What will that look like? Wha...t will we do? What will change? Join us this Sunday as we begin a discussion on the future of our church, and how we might grow together in pursuing the mission of Jesus as a community. 9am Sunday: Church Online will have a special focus on thinking about this, hearing what the Bible says about the purpose of church, and a panel discussion on what that could look like in practice. 7:30pm Sunday: Were hosting a special Zoom Discussion, as we share some of our desires for the future, and invite you to join the conversation in helping to shape the future of our church together. It promises to be a special day, and one not to be missed.
