19.01.2022 Our 3rd grade boys didnt get the win today but massive shout out for getting to the semi finals! That was our last game for the season and what a crazy season it was. It seems like a lifetime ago our pre-season started ! We squeezed in a day of rugby sevens and then our season was put on hold for a few months. We were finally able to get back on the field with a 7 round competition.... It was a season like no other and we are so proud of how our club got out there every week and made it happen with the real Blacktown spirit! We had so many new players and we welcomed every one of them with open arms - it was so good to meet so many new faces - rugby is well and truly alive in the west! After seeing many of our 2019 players retire our new coaching team built 4 great teams who really had a fun season! Blacktown has such a rich history - and we will be back even better in 2021!! A big thankyou to every single volunteer, committee member, the coaching staff , our physio and of course our awesome BRUFC players - our happy boys... BLACKTOWN BOYS!!! #blacktownproud #warriorsproud #2021brufc

18.01.2022 YOUR SCORE BOARD HERE:

17.01.2022 Our Colts, 2nd Grade and 1st Grade had their last game.today against Hawkesbury Valley. It has been a crazy season with only 7 rounds and 2 preseasons but its b...een a season of so many laughs and smiles and new faces with old faces - a rebuild returning us back to the Blacktown culture we all love. We knew with a lot of players retiring at the end of last season and a new coaching staff taking the helm that it would take some time to come together. We are really looking forward to the 2021 season when we see you all return .. its going to be amazing! There are so many wonderful people to thank for such a fun season and we will make sure we do that in the next few weeks ... tonight just a big huge thank you to every player who proudly wore the Warriors jersey this season and to our really great Coaches. Scotty, Joel, Tunksy and Kirky (Kerky ) thank you for bringing back such a love for rugby, a love for the club and the culture of Blacktown Lets go 3rd Grade - all the way!! The boys will be there with you training this week and we will all be watching you on the livestream!! #blacktownproud #tunksymagic

16.01.2022 In 2019 as the last game was played for the season we saw the retirement of quite a few crowd favourites for the Warriors! So in 2020 we looked forward to the new era of rugby with new crowd favourites - then covid hit so we sat down and had to wait again! But we werent disappointed with the amazing turn out this season of new players who are taking their spots in our squad alongside returning players. ... We are loving getting to know them and their families and our retirees are at every game and some training sessions cheering them on because thats what being a warrior is all about - loyalty and commitment! So lets spend the next few weeks meeting our players old and new .. In the next few weeks you will see a series on our players and find out what makes them a Blacktown boy In this picture you can see Travis Oto who has returned to playing rugby after a 6 year hiatus... interesting fact - Pita Oto who is Travis dad played with the Warriors back in 1992 till around 2002! #warriorsproud #alwaysloyal #blacktownboys #wearerugbyinthewest

09.01.2022 Training is on tonight Alwyn lindfield reseve Glenwood

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone As this weekend is a wet weather makeup round, BRUFC does not have any games. Because of this there will be no training tonight with the exception of Colts who as a playing group decided to have a light training run tonight from 6.45pm.

08.01.2022 When you think about someone that exemplifies what being a Blacktown Boy is.. someone that is truly a clubman through and through -there are a few names at the Warriors that spring to mind... and one of those names is Brent Smith. Brent started with the Warriors in our Colts team many years ago and has been such a hardworking member of the club both on and off the field since. He is our registrar extraordinaire, our statistician, Club Captain, Bus trip organiser, end of seaso...n trip organiser... he volunteers on the committee - you see him before and after games setting up the grounds, packing them up, he helps out in the canteen in between playing or you will see him running the lines or helping run out water. He likes his dessert before his dinner and he is a really good mate to so many at Blacktown Rugby.... But sadly we are losing him.... he has found true love with the very beautiful and wonderful Reetta who during her time in Australia played in our Open Women's side. Brent will be joining Reetta in Finland in the next few weeks. We are so happy for them both and wish them all the very best!! Come and say a farewell to Brent as he joins us for our first training run of the season (and his last) on Thursday 14th January. If you can't come and farewell him go ahead and leave him a message below! Goodluck Brent .- our club will really miss you!

07.01.2022 Blacktown father and son combos .. we - love them ! Happy Fathers Day to all of our BRUFC dads- have a fantastic day together with your families today !!

07.01.2022 Picking up this years prestigious 2020 U21's Presidents Player of the Year Award is Will Yallop , Captain of this years Colts side. Will played his second year of Colts after playing league as a junior and played his role of Captain exceptionally. He is truly an asset to BRUFC (even the mullet is well loved). Not only did he play for our Colts but he backed up most weeks to play in the higher grades wherever needed and used every opportunity to learn and apply what he learnt ...to his next game. We look forward to seeing Will move into Seniors next year and continue learning and making an impact. Well Done Will - so thoroughly deserved!!

07.01.2022 The Blacktown Warriors travelled to Newport yesterday to take on the Newport Breakers Rugby Club who are currently sitting at the top of the ladder for all of their grades. Our usual bus trip had to be cancelled due to COVID19 restrictions and the wet weather the day before left us uncertain which ground we would be playing at. We didnt get the wins but we certainly showed up in numbers despite no bus and the horrible weather and what we lacked in points we certainly made up... for it with grit! Thank you to all of the players who made it down to play yesterday. Thank you to our volunteers who make every game every week possible! Thank you to whoever is washing the jerseys this week BRUFC would like to thank Newport for hosting us - as usual an exceptionally well ran day with the added COVID19 restrictions which Newport handled so well. We would also like to extend our thoughts to your Colts player who was injured and we hope he is doing okay and feeling much better today. Our last thank you is to "Jakes Dad - MVP for the day #IYKYK See you all at training Tuesday Blacktown

07.01.2022 First scrum. Solid from the boys.

06.01.2022 Last game of the regular draw this weekend against Hawkesbury Valley, before finals. Its been the craziest season we have ever had - thank you to everyone who has been a part of this crazy ride... lets play some rugby Saturday and make it a great day for rugby in the west !!

05.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2nd Grade Coach's Player of the Year Roma Fraser!!

05.01.2022 In a year where we had so many new players our Rookie of the Year was always going to be a tough one but our winner was chosen from our 1st Grade side this year - Congratulations to Brendan Corkett!! Well deserved

05.01.2022 It was a tough day at the office yesterday for Blacktown with a clean sweep in all grades to Beecroft. But at the end of the day we are Blacktown boys and we bounce back, we stick together, we shake hands with our opposition and invite them for a few beers after the game (and win the last competition of the day ) then we turn up again the next weekend and enjoy our rugby all over again! This season is not like any other - we are grateful we all get to run out across four gra...des every Saturday so cheers to that! It was great to see Mitch back again this weekend and nice to see Tim recovering nicely on the sideline ready to join in soon! Thankyou once again to our core volunteer group - we cant play rugby without you!

05.01.2022 With third grade getting ready to kick off we want to congratulate Kalioni Wolfgramm on his 50th game today !!

05.01.2022 Blacktown Warriors have been a pivotal part of rugby union in Western Syndey now for over 40 years. We are currently looking to add to our already established Under 21s side (Colts) as our senior players have moved into Opens for 2021. This is a pathway through to playing Opens Rugby at all levels and our club provides even the most novice of players the skills to go on and play at other levels.... We play Saturdays so you can still play the sport you know on Sundays but learn the sport you will go on to love on Saturdays! We are a senior club with three open men's sides as well as our Colts (u21s) so you will be really well looked after. Our Coaching staff is led by Rob Kahui , a former Auckland representative, NZ 7’s training squad member, and a Niuean International 7’s player, Rob has depth in teaching the game to new and returning players developing a winning strategy both on and off the field while sustaining a fun and safe environment for all players. Rob also had an extensive coaching career in NZ before coming to Australia which included Head Coach U21 Auckland Maori Men’s. Our Colts Coach is Clinton Kirk who will be Coaching the side for the second year and has been with the Warriors as a player since 2004. He has had over 50 first-grade games and close to 200 club games. If you would like to come and join the boys now is the time - you can message the page for more info or call/text 0433094403
