24.01.2022 My Little boyfriend the Golden Whistler is back visiting.

24.01.2022 We have abit of work in front of us to protect the cherries from the birds.

24.01.2022 Finally finished planting 3000 strawberries yesterday in the coldest 3 days recorded this year. Gumboots were very handy.

22.01.2022 Lovely visit from Central Victoria Morris Minor Club Inc. today. Wonderful cars. Thanks Lynne for organising it.

22.01.2022 Finally able to pick up our grow bags for the new strawberries, only two months late but better late than never.

21.01.2022 We have started picking no 2 - Merchants which are one of my favourites. Unfortunately because of the cooler nights the fruit is very slow to ripen and we aren’t keeping up with demand. We will close the farm tomorrow and Thursday to focus on picking and stockpiling. We will be at the Castlemaine Farmers Market with strawberries tomorrow afternoon. Apologies for any inconvenience but out of our control.

21.01.2022 We have a card left behind so if your missing it, don’t panic it’s safe.We have a card left behind so if your missing it, don’t panic it’s safe.

17.01.2022 With all the chill hours so far the fruit buds are in perfect condition to produce plumb cherries in Summer.

17.01.2022 Colin is about to do some cherry grafting soon would anyone be interested if I videoed it and put online? Loving the blossom. Edit: ok in the next week or so we will do some grafting.

16.01.2022 Cherries are so close could have a few for the weekend but won’t be a huge volume. It’s no 1 variety called Early Burlat, I did sample one today and it was really sweet. They are meant to be a softer cherry and abit sharp in flavour. Strawberries are coming on well now so will have a few for the weekend and also for the Castlemaine Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoon.

16.01.2022 Another fantastic weekend with lots of visitors but alas the only thing in our coolroom is Colin’s Beer. May need a few days to stockpile again. The signs have been up and then down.....Another fantastic weekend with lots of visitors but alas the only thing in our coolroom is Colin’s Beer. May need a few days to stockpile again. 16.01.2022 We will be attending the Castlemaine Farmers Market today with strawberries.

15.01.2022 Fun day with the media, now just need some fruit in the coolroom.

13.01.2022 Finally gave the Blue Berries some TLC, way over due as they get neglected in the cherry season but this year hoping to get more than 5 Kg.

13.01.2022 This year it will be abit different, we are happy for drive through collection. We won’t be able to have samples available but will have listed what cherries are ready for sale. Unfortunately no PYO this year, if possible maybe we will hold one event towards the end of the season in January.

12.01.2022 Love it when the blossom is out as soon there will be little green balls and then......

12.01.2022 The girls and Peter love the new paddock Colin fenced for them, next project new strawberries

11.01.2022 TAKE 2: We will be open on the weekend and dearly love to stay open for the rest of the cherry season, but the cherries will decide that. We have said good bye to the Early Burlats and now colour picking Merchants - super sweet and the meaty sharp Chelans (good for preserving and pastries). No PYO this year but an event in January.

09.01.2022 We can’t wait to stock up our shed and maybe some for inside. Great work Mitchell’s.

07.01.2022 The bees have arrived to work their magic and we have some honey available for sale. Col and I polished off all the left over stock from last season, very hard to get the real deal. Thank you Evan. and Alyce Johannesen

07.01.2022 Colin is checking the cherries daily and colour picking a small quantity but not enough to officially open the farm. We won’t sell you under coloured cherries so with warmer weather this week coming, we hope to have a decent stockpile by next weekend 21 st. The strawberries however are going strong and I will pick enough for this weekend for the strawberry lovers. Fruit is the same price as last year $10 kg $12 kg. Also no PYO for any fruit. We will close the farm after this weekend to prepare for the opening with lots of picking........

06.01.2022 The olives look awesome. What a shame you aren’t closer to Harcourt as I’m sure a lot of people would love to have a few kg.

05.01.2022 The colours are lovely in Autumn, but I think after the rain we can say good bye to the strawberries until they come back later in the year. Production was down compared to other years but they did taste good.

05.01.2022 Little cherry pies a great use of frozen cherries picked in January.

03.01.2022 The black Cockatoo’s visiting, the other birds are not so happy.

03.01.2022 We still have cherries & strawberries left, better to come early. Got the whip cracking on the pickers. We still have cherries & strawberries left, better to come early. Got the whip cracking on the pickers.

01.01.2022 We want at least a 100 bottles for our cherry season, just love your extra virgin olive oil it’s amazing.

01.01.2022 Today we have been picking frantically and almost finished our first variety. We will keep picking to make up orders for tomorrow, but there is a real possibility that we will run out and have to temporarily close the farm. The merchants (no 2) are colouring up nicely so with this lovely warm weather we hope that we will reopen in a day or so. We had so many people today which was fantastic but those cherries need to get a wriggle on.

01.01.2022 Keep picking Colin we need a decent stockpile for our official opening on Saturday. The early Burlats picked are very impressive with size and flavour. From Saturday we would like to be open everyday until the cherries are gone late January. No PYO.
