20.01.2022 Blahnket is proud to present ISON, a sizeable compilation in the midst of testing times, put together in just 4 days after suffering yet another loss of coin with one of our events Shigeto (well and truly worth it). Although the shows we run are rewarding and the crowd response is always on point, the future of our endeavours is unsure due to a simple lack of funding and a major uncertainty with every show we take on. Art over profit and quality over popularity has always be...en our mindset at blahnket and we will never sacrifice that. This is why we're here today, it is to raise money and support for what we're doing. It is also the best way to show off the level of supports that we seek out for our events with an overwhelming majority of the featured artists on 'Ison' having performed for us over the past two and a half years. We're asking that people turn out early to our shows because although the headlining act is sometimes the name you know, we never rest on that. Much like the hyperbolic comet Ison which will be on view only once, this compilation is a one off, although we have plans to release music in the future it will never be of this scale and nature. To all the artists who donated tracks for this, all the love, respect, thanks and credit to each and everyone of you! You're the reason we exist and we hope you enjoy what we put together as much as we do. Astronomers are saying we don't know if the comet Ison will be visible come Sunday 1st December, it might burn up they say...hopefully that's not some kind of omen... we do need your help to keep us bright!
