22.01.2022 We are excited to be able to bring you a fantastic masterclass on contemporary techniques, improvisation and a q&a on full time dance and career pathways in Contemporary dance. The 4 hour masterclass afternoon will be taken by Rambert graduate and Contempoary dancer, Lily Potger on the 18th of December from 4.00- 8.00pm. The masterclass fee is $45.00 and suitable for experienced dancers 12 years and over. Please email [email protected] to secure your place as numbers are still limited due to Covid restrictions.

11.01.2022 Our second Summer Workshop teacher is Rambert Graduate and Contempoary dancer, Lily Potger. Lily is a former HPAC student and is eager to pass on her knowledge of dance to the next generation. After completing full time classical ballet training with Hilary Kaplan at Alegria in Sydney, Lily secured a place at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contempoary Dance in London where she completed her degree in 2020. We are thrilled to see Lily back at the HPAC Summer Workshop taking each level for either Contempoary or Improvisation.

09.01.2022 Our third workshop teacher is Kirsty-Lee Mears who is a former student and now teacher at HPAC. Kirsty moved to Melbourne in 2014 and completed her Diploma of Elite Dance Performance at Transit Dance (2015), under the tutelage of Paul Malek, Daniel Jaber and Amy Hollingsworth, majoring in Contemporary Dance. Kirsty is a Diploma qualified Pilates Instructor and has a special interest in dance science and safe dance, wanting to offer her students the most efficient ways to deve...lop their technique, based on current dance research. Kirsty is a level 1 Progressing Ballet Technique (Marie Walton-Mahon) recognised teacher and has completed Level 2 'Training Flexibility and Mobility'(Lisa Howell B.phty). Kirsty is furthering her knowledge of classical ballet instruction by undertaking the Royal Academy of Dance's (RAD) teacher training course (Cert. in Ballet Teaching Studies) commencing this semester and will teach all 3 levels at the Summer Workshop. We have classes in Tiny Ballet, Jazz and Tap, so if you have a fairy or a dynamic dancer at home your special little one will enjoy their creative adventure at HPAC. Classes are available during the week and on Saturday mornings, enrol now!

02.01.2022 The Coffs Harbour and District Eisteddfod Society membership year is due for renewal. Although we haven't seen our Dance eisteddfod take place this year the vocal eisteddfod is still taking place and organising for next year is taking place now. If you are interested in helping out as a volunteer the first step is becoming a member. The AGM is in September and everyone is welcome. It doesn't matter how much time you have to give, 'many hands make light work'. I'm passionate about our local eisteddfod as a fantastic performance opportunity for our young performers.
