24.01.2022 Never be jealous of others for the work you haven’t put in . Sometimes I think people don’t realise just how much work it takes to have one horse, let alone a... team of horses fit and ready for competition. The amount of work, dedication, discipline and consistency isn’t for everyone and that’s totally fine! Some days I feel like it’s not for me either but I remind myself of my goals and I make myself get on with it. Every day and every training session counts, especially at the business end of the season. Consistency is key, you have to be out there every day, not a few days a week or when you feel like it but putting in the work every single day. Another point I think is important is not comparing your progress to someone else’s. Even within the same level, every competitor is at a different stage of their journey. There could be someone making their first attempt vs someone who is incredibly experienced. The more you go on, the more you realise what you don’t know, the more you appreciate the others, the few, out there competing alongside of you and just how hard it really is. We can’t all win at the same time, we all have our turn at the top eventually when you have put in the extra work and it begins to go your way. Until then, manage your expectations, appreciate your other competitors and learn as much as you can every time you are in the ring. Time in the ring is limited and you have to put countless hours in to be there. You have to grind, you have to bring your best every day. You have to earn that five minutes in the ring for it to go your way. Be honest, make no excuses and give it your all until one day, you get the results back reflective of the work you have put in over the years

22.01.2022 He may need to get faster legs before he takes up showjumping.

11.01.2022 Just announced this on my instagram. A little thank you for all the new follows and comp shares! 10% OFF ALL EQUESTRIAN PACKAGES. Offer ends in 7 days!! (book ...via my website, link below) You don't need to know the date you want your shoot yet. Just book with a deposit and use your shoot by May 2021. (I do this very infrequently!!) I only do 10 sessions a month so spots will go quickly. Oh and of course if you win the competition I will refund you your deposit. I hope this sets you off to a good Grand Final weekend! ps. It's not too late to enter the competition in my last post.

08.01.2022 Zoe has outgrown our superstar eventing galloway so we are looking for a new home. Local/vic only buyers at this time as we love this horse and will not sell si...ght unseen. Linbil Orbit 14.1hh, 9 year old, welsh cob gelding In the past 2 years he has been out to PC, clinics, interschool & open/EA competitions. Some recent results include: 2019 Spring HT Ev80 5th 2019 Werribee PC HT Grade 3 2nd 2020 Ballarat Hickstead Ev80 2nd All with a 14yo rider new to eventing. Previously trained by Linda Williams, in 2017 as a 6yo Orbit won 1st place at many EV80 HT including Geelong, Tonibuk and Ballarat. Orbit is fancy on the flat, educated to Novice level. He loves jumping, has no issues XC with water, ditches etc and loves a gallop around the paddock. We would love him to go to an eventing home or to a family who will do lots of different activities with him as he would get bored in a purely dressage scenario. He would suit a smaller adult/teen or experienced younger rider but is not a beginners horse or first pony. Whilst he is heaps of fun and easy to do everything with, he is spunky with a big personality. Located Mornington Peninsula VIC PM or call Fiona 0438710078 POA See more

02.01.2022 FEI OUTLAW WHISKER TRIMMING The FEI have outlawed trimming the whiskers of competition horses in a ruling that will begin in July 2021. Horses are not allowed t...o compete in any FEI competitions internationally if "the horse’s sensory hairs have been clipped and/or shaven or in any other way removed unless individual sensory hairs have been removed by a veterinarian to prevent pain or discomfort for the horse. However trimming for veterinary reasons is exempt from this ruling. The horse's whiskers, or vibrissae, are so sensitive to vibration and changes in air current they can instantly inform the horse about his environment for example helping him avoid injury by detecting nearby objects, differentiating between different textures, judging wind direction and identifying food. The horse has a blind spot beneath his muzzle and so his whiskers are a vital aid to his vision. From the horse’s point of view, removing these whiskers reduces his spatial awareness and leaves him partially handicapped. We in the UK are still very backward in many aspects of horse welfare and it’s time for us to catch up, we should have made this ruling long ago... I have to say I didn't think we'd see this coming from the FEI first, it is amazing news!

02.01.2022 We are looking forward to seeing some of you next week for lessons. We are very limited on the number of lessons we can currently run so please bare with us.
