25.01.2022 What a lovely duo! These brothers from Milgate Primary School in Melbourne have used their time in lockdown well. Austin, 8, and Lucas, 12, have rewritten the... lyrics to John Lennon's famous song 'Imagine' to reflect their time living through the COVID-19 pandemic. The boys recorded the song and wanted to share it to spread a bit of much needed cheer in their home town. Thanks to Austin and Lucas' performing arts teacher Lucy Lennox for sending the video in. 25.01.2022 Its not a fine line drawing youre looking at a spectacular photograph. This little wombat from Guthega, NSW has won best monochrome at the Australian Geogra...phic Wildlife Photographer Of The Year Awards. It is the third time photographer Charles Davis has won the category. Charles told the South Australian Museum: The snow was deep after a week of storms, and grass close to the surface was hard to find. The world had little detail except for the dead, white, skeletal snow gums left over from the 2003 fires and the wombats. I took advantage of the white background to capture both subjects together." 14.01.2022 Bowen did agree with Hunt that there were some signs for cautious optimism a solution to the Covid virus puzzle would still be found. Advertisement There are around 160 vaccines in various stages of clinical trials, we know they have a 96% failure rate so most of those will not come to fruition but a few will, Bowen said.... A few will. That is while I am saying we should not put all our eggs in the one basket, we should be managing risks and investing in multiple vaccines and striking multiple agreements so Australia is at the best place to have access to it, but there are some signs for optimism. I share that optimism.
