24.01.2022 Saturday in cool conditions we had 35 players competing for Newmans Fuel Monthly Medal and John and Audrey Davis Trophy the winner was Andrew Vincent with nett 68 on a count back from A/Grade runner up Garry Keen. B/Grade runner up was Rod Corbett nett 69. Ball comp winners were Adrian Prosper nett 68.... With nett 70 Gavin Marks and Mick Bevan. Don Eves nett 71. Nett 72 Struan Pearce, Pete Neal and Bill Davis. Vets ball winners were Garry Keen, Adrian Prosper, Rod Corbett and Gavin Marks. The final of the Sootys Steel Erection Salter Cup was fought out between Struan Pearce and Nigel Habowski Nigel was the the victor winning 3/2. With some fairly hot scores scores coming in Wally Hodder came up trumps with 44pts. A/Grade R/U with 38pts Rod Corbett.... B/ Grade R/U with 43pts Billy Brown. No golf results to be reported for last Saturday due to the snow so this weekend we will see the 3rd round of Sootys Steel Erection Salter Cup to be played between Nigel Habowski V Mick Owen and Leon Roweth V Struan Pearce the winners will then play off the following weekend to see who will be the recipient of the newly named Sootys Steel Erection Salter Cup. We played the final round of the Rural Bank Banks Trophy and the Tony Bowers Trophy. The winners of this years Banks Trophy were Gav Cheney and Mick Tyrrell defeating Mick Dixon and Jordan Roberts 7 and 6.... The winner of Tony Bowers Trophy was Dave Uhr with 38pts. B/Grade R/U Leon Howerth 38pt. Ball Comp winners with 35pts were Scott Oborn, Struan Pearce and Allen Fisher.... With 34pts were Tony Smith, Adrian Prosper and Jessie Cheney. Vets winners were Leon Rowerth, Allen Fisher, Tony Smith and Adrian Prosper. Ist round of the Rural Bank Trophy was played Gerry Davis/Tony Bowers defeated Tony Gannon/Tyler Keen on the 22nd hole, Mick Tyrell/Gav Cheney defeated Scotty Oborn/Gav Stammers on the 19th and Leon Rowerth/Dave Uhr defeated Pete and Bill Davis 4/3. This Saturday we will be playing the 2nd Round of the Rural Bank Trophy which will see Gerry and Tony V Mick Dixon/Jorden Roberts, Mick and Gav will take on Leon and Dave.
