25.01.2022 Nice work Dr Howard. Pepper is a young kelpie referred from our colleagues at Canobolas Family Vets in Orange with a very nasty and unusual facial injury [ multiple fractures of the zygomatic arch-- have a feel, its that bone under your eye ].

25.01.2022 Congratulations to the graduation class at last nights Puppy Preschool- our first since Covid restrictions lifted Teacher Pauline Gill from Tapua Kennels is assisted by nurse Chloe and names are being taken for December’s class. Do you have a pup 8-16 weeks old? Call Chloe 6368 2264 (Blayneyvets) or drop us a line at [email protected] for more info...

22.01.2022 Happy Birthday Nurse Renee

20.01.2022 Both Missy and Shilo are spending the weeks post their TPLO surgery with us to ensure exercise restriction as required. We see quite a few Rottweilers for cruciate surgery. Both are wonderful patients

20.01.2022 Faces and hands tell such stories

19.01.2022 Happy Birthday Nurse Mikaela

18.01.2022 Remember the Neville based kitty who came across a yellow bellied black snake (Copperhead) on her verandah? Well this kitty is allowed out in daylight hours and wears a bib whenever outside- and the bib has bells on it. Ingenious

18.01.2022 Lest we forget The painting is 1916 Goodbye Old Man which was commissioned by the Blue Cross to raise money to help the suffering of the horses in WW1

15.01.2022 Spring indeed - Last night Dr Will delivered a little baby boy calf named... yes, it’s Will . Aaww

14.01.2022 Not your average "visit the vets" vehicle..but a future working dog.... so why not

14.01.2022 Be alert and not alarmed ... news from the NSW DPI to tell you what you need to know about the dog disease first confirmed in Australia in May 2020( what a year) - in the Kimberley but spreading. For dog owners and lovers this is knowledge worth sharing.

14.01.2022 We see some amazing animals...This much loved little fellow is a Murray River Short Necked Turtle

13.01.2022 Successful although difficult birth this morning for this little Speckle Park calf. Named Benny after the obstetrician Dr Penny . So cute

13.01.2022 Reggie A Moodle- a great cross of Maltese and Poodle

13.01.2022 Dougal does so love a pat

13.01.2022 Many hands are needed to deliver babies Surgeon Dr Penny, assistant Dr Will with final year veterinary student from CSU Hamish make up the baby’s team and Nurse Chloe controlling the anaesthetic and holding the newborns

11.01.2022 Calling all newspaper suppliers- After several weeks of full hospital wards, all our stores have gone and Blayneyvets is desperately looking for newspapers . Any amount gratefully accepted

11.01.2022 Yup... Look what has just come into kitty’s house at Neville They are baaaaack ....

10.01.2022 Ruby wins the prize She has managed to develop the biggest bladder stone (170grams) the vets have ever seen. And a search of the internet puts this single stone up there as probably the biggest ever single bladder stone. While there have been many jokes about her laying an egg imagine how different she feels tonight Her bladder wall will take a few months to settle down and lose the abnormal thickness. Her treatment will include plenty of fluids to ensure good flushing of the urine from the bladder. Bladder stones develop over time but she gave not a single clue. We will be monitor diet , urine and will be checking for any infection. Ruby will be watched carefully to ensure no others form

10.01.2022 A bundle ( or bucket) of joy

10.01.2022 Many cows in the district have needed a helping hand to get calves out this year. Those having their first calf or heifers need a hand more often . The vets have so enjoyed having talented CSU final year student Maddie here to give them a helping hand too. Nothing sweeter than a live calf

09.01.2022 Dr Lyndsay and Dr Penny finally getting a chance to sit down and have a combined morning tea/ lunch/ afternoon tea. Great chance to discuss Dr Lyndsay’s mini intensive care ward ... 2 newborn calves on intensive intravenous fluids therapy and oral feeding and to this point the responses have been wonderful.

09.01.2022 Grass seeds are our Dr Will’s Saturday special it seemsBanjo’s huge seed was deeply imbedded far up his nose. Hard to tolerate if you are a dog ( constant sneezing doesn’t dislodge them) and certainly not easily found.

08.01.2022 Dr Lyndsay has found and removed more bladder stones- large in number and fairly big too ! As you can see the xrays show most stones rather clearly . But changes needed in diet to prevent these happening again !

08.01.2022 This Maremma puppy weighs 21 kilo at just four months of age and she will reach maybe 40-45 when fully grown ( slow growing so likely to be two years before reaching adult weight.) These ancient Italian sheepdogs are very popular in the Central west as guard dogs for herds of sheep/ goats and more often flocks of chickens.

07.01.2022 Roxy wins our hearts with smiles for everyone

06.01.2022 Dr Lyndsay led the team of five in the theatre to deliver 10 whopping babies this morning. Too much action for anyone to grab a camera but we have just managed a sneer peak into their home this evening

05.01.2022 Not quite 101 dalmations but certainly 11 gorgeous puppiesMum is Dogue de Bordeaux and a bit of American Staffy while Dad has Mastiff genetics. These very friendly pups were here for their first veterinary check up, vaccinations and microchipping and were not bothered by any of it Still a couple needing quality loving homes- call Peter on 0408 608 000

04.01.2022 Sounds of spring in a veterinary hospital.....

04.01.2022 Meet Cartman. He is now in his 20th year and that makes him very special indeed. Despite the somewhat cranky look he isn’t ... it’s his British Blue breeding - he is just an aloof sort of gentleman.

01.01.2022 Rabbit dental work again for Dr Lyndsay.. not undertaken lightly and special instruments and anaesthetic equipment required. Did you know rabbits teeth grow all their lives ? So if they aren’t syncing with each other and being worn down ,they just keep on growing
