03.01.2022 Strength Out of Weakness Sometimes the challenges of daily life can become overwhelming, chaotic, or just plain hard! In our human weakness we may feel anxious ...and pressured to just keep on keeping on. During these trying times, we recognize we need strength outside of ourselves- a higher power to come close and support us and meet us at our point of need. As Christians, we understand that Jesus Christ is the highest power we need, because He has promised that His grace, favor, loving-kindness, and mercy is sufficient to cover our weakness it is all we need to keep moving forward in life and we can always count on His faithful support. When our desperation and weakness drive us towards God for help, and we humbly depend on His faithfulness and grace to see us through, while not arrogantly thinking we can overcome the problem by ourselves, good things can be expected to happen. As we learn to lean, rely and confidently trust in God for support, we will trade crippling fear for developing faith, our weakness for His strength, and we will have the courage to turn away from fear and choose to accept God’s Word and faithful love to help us step forward in life. Our human weakness gives God, yet another opportunity, to perfect and fulfill His strength and power within us! "But He said to me, My grace [favor and loving-kindness and mercy] is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect [fulfilled and completed] and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ [the Messiah] may rest [yes may pitch a tent over and dwell] upon me! For when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong [able, powerful in divine strength] (2Corinthians 12:9, 10b). See more
