05.01.2022 From many courses and trainings that i have done, I do know how your body works. Citing one of my favourite teacher Julie Marsh Every single person, animal, being on this planet functions exactly the same way when we are effected by stress. To function optimally, our body must keep homeostasis - equal balance for optimum health. Any stress puts us into the flight/fight program. When this is triggered , different pathways get shut down and others get stimulated.... Our emotional brain shuts down ( because you don’t want to be emotional about Saber Tooth Tiger coming after you). Our cortex shuts down ( because you don’t want to think about which way to run away from that Tiger). Digestive System, IMMUNE SYSTEM and Reproductive System shut down - because body doesn’t need those systems to be running when you are using all your energy to runaway or fight. Just posting this as a reminder to calm down, refocus your attention, of course wash your hands and be mindful but don’t panic about the Corona virus as the panic and stress will shut down one of the main systems you need to be working at the moment.
