24.01.2022 Help us to help you When you book a chemical service (keratin, chemical straightening, perm, foils, balayage or colour) with BLK Hair Studio, we set that time aside just for you. If you cancel with late notice it impacts on us significantly and inconveniences the many other clients that have been turned away because we are fully booked.... We require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. In order to secure your appointment, we will now require a Visa or MasterCard to be held on file at the time of booking of all services. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, the card is charged at 10% of the appointment total If you simply don't turn up to a booked appointment, the card is charged at a no-show fee (50% of the total appointment). Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice are welcome to find someone else in their place to have the booked service(s) to avoid losing their deposit. If no card details are received at the time of booking, you acknowledge that your appointment slot will be considered open and can be filled by another client at anytime. 21.01.2022 Let’s talk product usage and achieving that salon result at home! Are you overusing your products? Does your shampoo and conditioner last you at least 8-12 weeks? If not your using WAY too much product - this includes the gals with the long thick hair! When using professional products, these products are designed to be used in small amounts, to last you longer and to provide better care and condition to the hair - this is generally why they cost a little more then sup...ermarket and chemist conditioners which are a BIG red flag if your wanting to maintain your hairs condition, or to protect your colour . The reason for this is the heavy sulphates and cheap ingredients . When washing your hair, make sure your applying your shampoo to wet hair, you should always do 2 shampoos to ensure that the hair and scalp is cleansed from any oils and debris. After shampooing your hair, it is recommended to towel dry the hair and apply a small amount of conditioner or treatment to the mid lengths and ends and let it sit for the FULL recommended time (3-5 minutes for conditioner and 15-20 minutes for the Alterna Masque’s). This ensures that the product is working as it should leaving your hair #freshAF! After conditioning or treating the hair, ensure the hair is thoroughly dried and apply your styling products or leave in products - this ensures that there is no water barrier on the hair so the products can fully soak in and you get all the benefits! When styling ensure your using a thermal protection - all of our @alternahaircareanz products contain a 230 degree thermal production. This protects the hair from any heat damage and frayed ends! For best results we recommend using a post styling finishing spray like the Alterna Haircare Top Coat Spray, or the Light Weight Oil spray to protect the hair from humidity and damp air! See more
