20.01.2022 Due to our busy and hectic lifestyle we may sometimes overlook our eye health. Here are some tips to maintain healthy eyes. 1.Balanced Diet- As part of your healthy diet, choose foods rich in antioxidants, like Vitamins A and C; foods like leafy, green vegetables and fish. 2.Exercise - Exercise improves blood circulation, which improves oxygen levels to the eyes and the removal of toxins. 3. Getting good night's sleep - You’ll feel the difference when you get the sleep you... need. You’ll look great, you’ll perform at home or workand good rest will support the health of your eyes. 4. Wash your hands - Some germs and bacteria that come from your hands can cause eye infections, like bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye). When you touch your eye, whatever is on your fingers goes right onto your eye’s surface. This is one way that people catch coldsrubbing their eyes while they have cold virus germs on their hands. 5. Don't Smoke - Smoking exposes your eyes to high levels of oxidative stress 6.Wear Sunglasses - To protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) light, choose sunglasses with both UVA and UVB protection. Also, wearing a hat with a brim will greatly reduce the amount of UV radiation slipping around the side of your sunglasses. 7.Devices and Blue Light - You're probably using digital devices for hours each day at work and at home. These devices are exposing your eyes to high energy blue light. It's called blue light because the wavelengths emitted are near the bluer part of the spectrum. Wear computer glasses during daytime and nighttime glasses at night! #bluelightblockers #bluelightblockingglasses #bluelightfilter #blockbluelight #bluelightprotection #computerglasses #eyecaretips #eyehealthtips #bluelightglasses #eyeglass #eyestrain #healthyeyes #visioncare #eyehealth #eyecare #eyeglasses #eyewear #healthiswealth #specs #eyes #loveyoureyes #eyesarethewindowtothesoul #takecareofyoureyes #eyesight #eyehealthtip #friday #fridaytip #factfriday #fridays #foryourinformation

17.01.2022 First up, Digital eye strain or Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) describes a group of vision-related problems with eye discomfort being the most frequently reported symptom. Eye problems caused by computer use, fall under the heading Computer Vision Syndrome. It isn't one specific problem. Instead, it includes a whole range of eye strain and discomfort. Research shows that between 50% and 90% of people who work at a computer screen have at least some symptoms. Working adults ar...en't the only ones affected. Kids who stare at tablets or use computers during the day at school can have issues, too, especially if the lighting and their posture are less than ideal. How Do Computers Affect Vision? CVS is similar to carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive motion injuries you might get at work. It happens because your eyes follow the same path over and over. And it can get worse the longer you continue the movement. When you work at a computer, your eyes have to focus and refocus all the time. They move back and forth as you read. Symptoms: 1.Dry or irritated eyes 2.Watery or itchy eyes 3. Blurred or double vision 4. Headaches 5. Neck and shoulder pain. How to Relieve Digital Eye Strain Reducing time away from a screen is strongly recommended but that may not always be possible. Here’s what you can do to make using your computer easier on your eyes: Wear specialised eyewear (computer day time glasses) to block out the harmful wave lengths of blue light Position the computer screen about 25 inches from your face Angle the monitor to about 10 to 15 degrees below eye level Install a phone screen filter to block blue light and minimise glare Adjust the colour temperature of your monitor by using software such as f.lux Make an effort to blink more frequently Link in bio for more! #eyehealthtips #sleepcoach #bluelightfilter #bluelightprotection #bluelightblockingglasses #bluelightblockers #bluelightprotection #digitaleyestrain #eyeglass #eyestrain #healthyeyes #screentime #eyeweardesign #headaches #eyehealth #bluelight #eyeglasses #eyewear #visioncare #eyecaretips #eyes #loveyoureyes #blockbluelight #foryoureyes #takecareofyourvision

07.01.2022 5 star review from Niki J.: "Excellent for newborn babies - I purchased the red night light to have going all night in our bedroom so I could see when our newborn baby wakes. It has just enough light to see where he is and what’s going on. I have the reading light also for nappy changing as the red night light is a bit dim for that. The combination of the two is excellent and I find that I’m able to get back to sleep a lot faster than I used to when I was using regular... lights when our first born was a baby. Highly recommend!
