21.01.2022 ...........SOLD........SOLD..........SOLD....Shipped interstate. BlueBell W300......FOR SALE Vintage, 70's, these BlueBells are among my favourites of the MIJ guitars. I've had a few come through my hands and every one has been a cracker, including a W500 which has become my go to guitar at home, a review on that to follow.... This W300, made in the Bluebell factory, is in lovelly condition with a nice vintage patina to the finish, gloss Nitocellulous. Simple tri-line rosette and perfling, some nice Bearclaw figuring in the Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, nice quality decorative tuners, the Saloon Bar font on the Bluebell branding. Cream binding top, bottom, fretboard and headstock, soft V neck profile finished with a bone saddle. This is one of those "go to guitars' that soft to the touch, with a strong and brassy tone is a delight to play and looks fantastic to boot. Action is great, about 3mm at the 12th fret at 1 and 6.There's plenty of saddle left for fine tuning action. This guitar has had little play so there is plenty of fret left.Every thing works like it should. Condition is fantastic.

10.01.2022 SOLD........SOLD.........................FOR SALE.............LOCAL PICK UP .... BlueBell W400 1974, made in the BlueBell factory as specified on the labal. B...lueBells were made for the Japanese domestic market meaning any outside of Japan have been brought in privately, like this guitar. W400 made it a 40000Y guitar when sold new in 1974. Well, tone on this guitar is maybe what I'd describe as neautral, niether too warm nor too bright/brassy, also bass/mids/trebble are very even across all strings, making this a very well rounded and balanced guitar to play, it's strenghts I'd say. Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Rosewood fretboard/bridge, nice herring bone perfling with the addition of the Tri-lines on the soundhole rosette, dot position markers, creme binding top/bottom/fretboard/headstock, Gallagher headstock copy, vintage open tuners, diamond volute neck, soft V neck profile topped with bone saddle/bridgepins. An aged patina to the finish in general, especially the binding, it has been given a Makeover which includes polishing and waxing the finish, polish the frets, lashings of oil to the fretboard, lubricated and checked the truss rod, cleaning and lubricating the tuners then fine tuning the set up, which I have left room for further fine tuning on the saddle if required. A very nice MIJ guitar, great player (as the vast majority of these vintage MIJ guitars are.) This "THUNDERBIRD IS GO" Terry

07.01.2022 BlueBell..... Lables BlueBell are one of the few MIJ guitar that I've seen so far that identifies on their lable where, which factory, made the guitar, seen on these 2 examples. It was common practice in the so called "Law Suit Era" for the Japanese manufacturers to contract out quite a lot of their work to other factories, especially some of the smaller factories. The W250 was made in the BlueBell factory and the W500 shown in the Tama factory. Now, Tama made guitars are hot...tly sort after guitars and here is a fantastic BlueBell labled guitar made by Tama. Now that's not to down grade the BlueBell made guitars, cause as I've found they're very nice, among some of my favourite MIJ guitars.. Most of their higher end guitars, W800 and W2000 are 2 examples I've seen, were made in the BlueBell factory.

07.01.2022 This was a BlueBell W250 sold a few months ago. It sold so quickly I didn't get a chance to get some pics. Condition for a 40ish year old guitar was fantastic. Tone was very bold and brassy suited to flat picking/bluegrass style though by no means exclusive to any style.
