15.01.2022 FOREST SCHOOL Our platypus children spent their time at forest school working together to try and help a tree stand back up again, together they came Up with an idea of using rocks at the base of the tree to try and help it up. ... The children displayed great communication skills, determination and most importantly respect and team work as they listened to each other’s ideas. Working as a team in a natural setting bonds children as a group. It also makes them aware of the need to care for each other and for the environment.

What better way to begin NAIDOC Week than with a professional development walk around Burleigh Headland with Billie Jean Musk who has been delivering our Indigenous program for our children. Billie shared her wealth of local history with us as we ventured around this significant cu...ltural landmark. Our educators walked away with a basket of cultural richness and a deeper understanding and confidence in the Indigenous history of this area.
