We’ve recently implemented our learnings from Traction, by Gino Wickman, and introduced the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). This has helped us immensely in running more effective team meetings; it has shown us areas where we individually, as well as collectively, need to focus on; shown us opportunities for professional growth, and taught us the ...importance of holding each other accountable. Let me introduce you to the Blue Clay team, starting with our newest member, Ash, who has been with us for one month! Ash is an energetic, bike enthusiast who has recently moved up to the Sunshine Coast from Melbourne, with impeccable timing. He’s one of our Business Development managers and he contributes his knowledge in sales and marketing. Anna Leigh is ready to learn. A recent university graduate who moved far from her home in the United States, she has been in Australia for almost a year. She assists with our internal and client-facing marketing and public relations and has been with our team for two months. Claudette grew up on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and has spent the last decade as a freelancer. With an eye for detail, she attributes her artistic abilities through her copywriting skills for Blue Clay. She's also in charge of business systems. Claudette has been working with us for eight months. Yenny is originally from Sweden but has called Australia home for the last 20 years. She incorporates her creativity and positivity into Blue Clay’s social media as the manager; she is also in charge of processes. We are thrilled to have her on board for nearly two years! We look forward to introducing our team more in-depth in the following month!

11.01.2022 A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT Last week I had someone asking me what I worked with. I told them I am a social media assistant but what I do is so much more. ... This is a couple of things I did the day I recorded this video: Interviewed a client(Regional Development Australia Riverina) for Country Change over Zoom. Edited the video and added intro, outro and music. Wrote copy for social media and createc graphic design for the posts. Uploaded to YouTube, Facebook and IGTV and made sure I tagged everyone involved. Emailed and thanked people involved. Added recording and link to a newsletter to be sent at a later time. Scheduled two other clients social media for the week. Wrote processes for our new venture @HOLGRO Made 2 "how to do" videos for staff. Added photos, events and updated bios on our INTRANET site for Blue Clay staff. Had a meeting with our writer to work on a new project management tool. Watched 4 videos to learn more about a new system we are using. Scheduled a couple of posts for another client and added 2 stories. Wrote a to-do list for the next day. Sent 3 emails out and scheduled 2 to be sent the day after.

02.01.2022 After months of being waylaid due to COVID-19, we finally were able to film our much-anticipated TV commercial for Toomey Family Law! With a few rough patches, in the beginning, COVID-19 seemed to be working against us. The Queensland border was set to shut and with flights cancelled last minute, our team in Canberra drove all the way up to make sure this commercial could happen. Oh, and the specialist camera we hired was lost by the courier the day of delivery! The bad luck ...was finally over as our 13-strong cast and crew (armed with a different but just as beautiful AARI camera and cinema lenses) came together to shoot the 3-day commercial. It was noticeable how easily our team all worked together, even in COVID-19 compliant face masks. Our actors, Anna McMahon and Rowan Howard (who’d worked together previously) had the chemistry of every director’s dream. On-screen they took us on a love journey. The charismatic Rowan kept everyone laughing onset and the lovely Anna kept us all smiling with her gratitude and a warm smile. Which is exactly what any team shooting a commercial needs, enduring long days and late nights. The whole shoot left us all feeling extremely thankful to be part of such a dedicated and hard-working team. We can’t wait for its release in a few weeks!
