17.01.2022 Do you have snacks while you read? Does coffee count as a snack? Thank you to the ever so lovely Caitlin at @newsouthbooksau for this one.... Thoughts.. I think you hit a certain point in your life where you are more interested in health then you were in previous years, and I seem to be on that bandwagon at the moment. So, when the chance popped up to read this gem, I couldn’t resist. You do have to get through a fair amount of personal chatter to get to the goods. And I get it, you want to build a relationship between author and reader, but I just didn’t see the value in knowing the stories at the start of the book. It was like meeting a drunk girl in a bar that tells you about your family tree. That’s great hunny, but I just want to order another whiskey. Once you dive past the personal aspect, you get to enjoy the thought-provoking examination on food, body image and how we consume food.
