23.01.2022 WordPress sites have always had some security issues and the latest raft of malvertising attacks are adding backdoor access with admin accounts when an admin user logs in to an infected site. It's super critical to keep your site up to date and running on a secure platform.

20.01.2022 Hola amigos! This is a reminder to update your WordPress site, even if it was updated last week or, especially if it was updated last week. Turns out the second latest version (5.3.1) had four severe security vulnerabilities. Yikes. Back up before updating and if you are running WordPress 4.x get a professional to help you update your site.

18.01.2022 All this transition from desk to desktop but... is your desk still cluttered?

16.01.2022 Did you know the ABN Lookup tool has an API so you can use it in your own website? We used it on a Woocommerce site to validate certain types of trades, added a special user role and gave them discounted pricing. #nerdgames https://bluekelpie.com.au/wordpress-woocommerce-abn-verifi/

13.01.2022 Running a site with Jetpack? Make sure you update that one ASAP!

10.01.2022 Running an older version of WordPress and not ready to update? Guess again! WordPress is going to start force updating old versions of its CMS to make your site (and, with a market share of more than 34%, the internet in general) more secure. This may well actually break your site. But, what are you doing running an old version of WordPress anyway? Seriously. If your website is the first port of call for your customers why would you neglect it? ... Starting from $125/mth our web maintenance plans keep your site secure but also running faster and ranking higher.

07.01.2022 I had never thought of WordPress for anything other than web design. This takes me back to my uni days. My mind is swimming with the potential!

06.01.2022 After spending a lot of time studying what makes WordPress sites function at their best Blue Kelpie have made some slight changes to our WordPress Care Plans to help keep your site running in pristine condition, especially eCommerce stores.

05.01.2022 Well, this is a bit nasty. Well worth a read too. If you buy themes that have been pirated then they quite probably have some malware inserted. That malware can then allow your site to used to send spammy ads to people and... they now can get around your ad blocker software. Bugger!

05.01.2022 Hope you all are getting some time off, here's a joke for those of us who are too nerdy for cricket.
