20.01.2022 Firefighting crews are actively combating a fire in the Shires of Mundaring, Chittering, Northam and City of Swan, with a focus on saving lives and property. Th...e fire currently remains uncontained and uncontrolled. There is a threat to property and to lives. If you live in the affected area it is vital you stay informed with the latest information. 19.01.2022 On Sunday we had to act quickly to implement lockdown restrictions and stop the potential spread of COVID-19. The rules are complex - but we're committed to mak...ing sure they are workable and that they make sense. One frequent issue raised yesterday involved the rules around exercise for people with young children. This morning I can confirm that this direction has now been changed. Under the updated rule, a maximum of two adults from the same household and their children may exercise in their neighbourhood - up to a total of five people. That means that one adult may exercise with up to four children who are members of the same household, or two adults who are members of the same household may exercise with up to three children who are also members of that same household. Exercise is permitted within 5km of home, for up to an hour per day. All persons over the age of 12 must wear masks while exercising, and playgrounds remain closed. I know that lockdown can be particularly difficult for parents or carers of young children, so I hope this common-sense change helps over the coming days.

17.01.2022 'DO NOT POST PHOTOS OF YOUR CHILDREN ON FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL' The Australian Federal Police have issued a warning for all parents. Images with children in school... uniform, their name or indicators of their location in the background can be used by offenders to build a profile and groom parents and children. The AFP is continuing to regularly seize images of children in the collections of online child sex offenders. The AFP has said if you do post to lock down your privacy settings. Community or school social media pages featuring children are also being urged to consider the types of images being shared and who can view them. See more

14.01.2022 Today's announcement by the WA government that we will be going into COVID lockdown for the next 5 days has certainly taken us by surprise. At this point childcare services may remain open for provide childcare services to the child of an essential worker. We remain open with our COVID control measures in place. We are accepting our usual children in care for those parents that have to work, but we urged our families that if they are not required to go to work this week they ...keep the children at home. Our educators will guide you about their COVID control measures, but mask are compulsory and a quick handover at the door would be put in place this week. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We will stay in touch with families during the week with any update of the situation.

09.01.2022 Following the requirement received from our Regulatory Unit, all our educators will wear mask while caring children at all times. We are accepting our usual children in care for those essential workers that have to work, but we urged our families that if they are not required to go to work this week they keep the children at home, following the measures announced by the Premier. Families are unable to enter in the residence and must wear a mask.... Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
