22.01.2022 Another unsual one. Using water did all the normal tests everything showed good. Let it sit over night with pressure on the cooling system. Next morning hard as to start seemed like it was hydraulic locking which it was. Over night normally it would leak a few drops in over a week causing a noticeable water loss. Once removed the head found blown head gasket between cylinders. If we didnt pull the head wouldnt have known as it showed no signs previously. Still performing as good as it always did.

08.01.2022 Bit hard to see the butterflys in the manifold cant close due to carbon build up manifold and ports closing up with cabon build up. This is why we recommend A diesel purge/ fuel system clean. Part of the cleaning process helps break down the carbon build up. Restoring the ports back to normal. Another thing that helps prevent this is a good quality catch can between the air intake tube and rocker cover breather.

07.01.2022 This is what happens from poor quality oil and lack of oil changes. Oil becomes a sludgy carbon build up. Which will block up the oil pic and starve the motor of oil, causing a dead engine. Simple fix this one replace engine. If sevicing is kept up and not left like this 60,000 between services this wouldnt have happened.

07.01.2022 Timing belt we did a week or so go. Looked a bit damp nothing much around the bottom of the timing case, until the cover was removed. The last pic is after seals replaced new belt and tensioner.

06.01.2022 Unusual one. Only leaks when hot and under pressure. Found when hot and under pressure it leaks in the spark plug tube. Poor casting and machining by Holden on this Cruze head. New head and all good again.

06.01.2022 Timing belt failure on 2.8ltr turbo diesel Colorado. Engine has sacrificial rockers. They brake and bend to save the valves from bending.
