24.01.2022 Amazing conditions all weekend for our OW course yesterday and a deep course today at North Wall Corner and Coogee, 25m viz on the wall. Really pleased to welcome Grace to the Blue Line family and have Tamryn join us in her shiny new Scubapro drysuit! And again, huge congrats to Adele for absolutely nailing her dives, looking like a pro already! Had a ball diving with you guys all weekend and can't wait for the next instalment!

22.01.2022 So our planned 2020 trip to Puerto Galera has been thrown a curve ball in this strange COVID-19 world. So we've pushed it back 12 months to allow for medicine to work its magic and get the travel world going again. While travel is nice for us, it's vital to some of these places that have no social security structure and depend on us for their income and family support.. All enquiries to us via email, phone or DM ... #scuba #scubadiving #bluelinedivers #puertogalera #phillipines

22.01.2022 Morning all! Hopefully tomorrow gives us some indication when we can hit the water again. It would seem that our AOW and speciality courses will be first to kick off as access to pools may be limited for a little while yet! Cross your fingers and toes!!

20.01.2022 So there is no longer any conufusion about whether we can travel within the restricted zone or arguing over "reasonable distances" etc, the new 5km restriction of moving, absolutely rules out diving for us at the moment. You MUST stay within 5km of home for no more than one hour per day for your exercise, and for most of us, that puts diving well beyond our reaches. PLEASE PLEASE try do the right thing. Speaking to friends in emergency services, this is a trying time, so l...et's try to do our bit. We are being asked to stay at home and stay safe. Let's do just that. Al

20.01.2022 Portsea looking an absolute dream for our OW course. #scuba #scubadiving #bluelinedivers #morningtonpeninsula #scubadivingaddicts

20.01.2022 You may have heard that due to current restrictions, gear rental is currently prohibited by law. This means that obviously we can't either loan our gear or refer you to any of our partners who have the same restrictions across the board; we're all in this together. Please understand that these are trying times for us all, and we will be back in the water as soon as allowed, safe to do so and conditions are favourable!

19.01.2022 Where we'd rather be now.... Thinking happy thoughts to get us through this time and lusting for a bit of rust under the blue!

19.01.2022 With the enforced hiatus from diving, just remember, diving is a perishable skill. Don't rush straight back to the super challenging stuff. We'll be running some tune up dives when we can get back in, just BYO gear and we'll dial back in before hitting some of the more advanced stuff. Keep an eye on our page and we might do a dive and BBQ (BBQ subject to DHHS directions)! Remember, dive safe when we can!!... Al.

18.01.2022 The Premier has just announced re-imposition of Stage 3 restrictions due to Corona virus. Very important to note he was explicit that one cannot leave the metro area for the purpose of exercise, including diving. DHHS are going to publish a list of 'defined recreational activities' in the coming hours/days. This MAY adjust the position. This obviously means we cannot head down the Peninsula and we ask that you all do your bit to tough it out for the next 6 weeks so that we can all come out of this this other side.

18.01.2022 Remember, any travel must not be unreasonable and there are only four reasons to be out. As the numbers go up, every single one of us has a part to play in driving them down again so we all can get back to what we love soon!

17.01.2022 We all know how much we love new toys and ScubaPro released a new compact dive computer. If it can go as many years as my Luna has, it will be a good bit of kit!!!

17.01.2022 Hi Team. We have a deep course finishing off on Sunday with a trip to spec reef and then the Coogee wreck. Would love to have a few smiling faces along to join us, and may even be Cray friendly! (several sighted on the Coogee yesterday but not landed). Just a reminder about Cray tagging. Fisheries were inspecting boats yesterday near the Heads. Really friendly guys and happy to have a chat and good to see they reported no identified issues for the day!

17.01.2022 **IMPORTANT COVID-19 RESTRICTION CLARIFICATION** Ministerial clarification was given today in relation to travel and movement for exercise which clearly impacts on diving/ See below quotes: The office of Health Minister Jenny Mikakos told 3AW Breakfast the rules haven’t changed, they’ve just been clarified to make it easier for police to tell who should be fined.... Under the clarification, those in the lockdown zone must remain in their neighbourhood for exercise and recreation. For example, an Essendon resident may not travel to Rye Beach to exercise, just because it’s prettier. Likewise, a Kensington resident cannot go to the Tan for a run. Anyone caught travelling outside of their neighbourhood to exercise faces a fine of $1652. This obviously has direct impacts on the distance required to travel for diving activities and reflects the position the Blue Line had adopted in relation to "unreasonable time and distance". In otherwords, it is clear STAY AT HOME. Let;'s not drag this out any longer, do our bit and tough out these few weeks so we can ALL get back in the water soon.

16.01.2022 Hi Team! Couple of people have reported our emails bouncing into their spam folders! So if you were expecting quotes, trip info, booking forms etc, please check your email settings and add [email protected] to your safe senders list! And we promise that we don't send you junk emails, we know your time is precious!!

16.01.2022 A bit of light hearted entertainment this morning, those who know Darren at Siren Diving Lembongan will be familiar with his talent for joke telling and amazing fashion/dress sense. Here's a sample of some of his handy work for your Saturday morning entertainment! https://youtu.be/EYwxJDPr-Pc

15.01.2022 This year has been challenging for many, no more than the Victoria Police Family who lost 4 of their own in one incident and a number of others since last Sept 29 including several who succumb to the black dog. In the current climate, the work performed by members of this family is testing, tiring and at times disheartening. So on Sept 29, take a minute to pause, and think what have these people given up to try seperate order from disorder, the good from the bad and working t...o bring so many things to so many. From food parcel deliveries, medication runs during the fires, dealing the the increase in Mental health incidents and family violence, the men and woman of Victoria Police suit up every day in honour of those who went before of us and fell along the way. Stop, pause, and reflect on what people have given up and what they are prepared to give up in the service of their state and people. Blueline Divers sends our regards to all members of Australian police forces on National Police Remembrance Day. Img: cop humour Australia

13.01.2022 Good morning Blairgowrie, we've missed you!

12.01.2022 I've had two enquiries very keen to kick off a Deep (40m) course as soon as restrictions are lifted. We'd love to add a third to our course, and will pass on a discount across all 3 The PADI course will be run across 4 dives and can be combined with an Enriched Air (nitrox) course as well. You'll learn dive planning, carrying redundant gas and the effects on your mind and body at depth. Given some of the amazing terrain in and around the 30-40m mark including one of faves, ...Rip Bank, and some of our wrecks, get on board and come join us. Shoot us a message for further details! Please note, dates are TBA in line with current Victorian CHO directives

12.01.2022 Running from the front door to the car in this rain is the closest I've been for a dive in months!!

10.01.2022 So the guidelines from DHHS suggest one can attend the beach for exercise. Diving on? Not so quick. The CHO written instructions state that one cannot 'travel an unreasonable distance for an unreasonable amount of time'. We would suggest that this is intended to provide a disincentive to those in the inner metro from driving to places like the Peninsula. Victoria Police have established a number of vehicle check points along the roads to the Peninsula. ... Those living in the declared metro area cannot travel to the Queenscliff side. So if you live in the burbs. Stay there. Please don't test the limits and look for loopholes. Going for a dive isn't worth a $1600 fine and prolonging all our agony with further extension of restricted movements. Please take advice from official channels and not Facebook bush lawyers. Do your bit. Stay home.

10.01.2022 Morning Sunshine! It's an early one today, but with winds forecast under 10kts and looking pretty glassy out there, worth the early rise! #scuba #scubadiving #bluelinedivers #morningtonpeninsula

10.01.2022 Some great conditions at Boatfish reef today to finish our OW course. Nice flat surface conditions on slack water and lots of fish life! What a way to spend a Saturday!! Congrats to Adele and crew who returned for extra dives!!... #scuba #scubadiving #bluelinedivers #morningtonpeninsula #scubadivingaddicts #scubajunkies #mypadi #doyouevenscuba #openwater #scubaschool #learntodive @paditv @redboats.com.au

08.01.2022 Mid week dive at Rye, and well worth the effort to get get down here! Nudis, albino smooth ray, banjo sharks, spider crabs, decorator crabs and amazing viz. And its always the day when you decide to leave the camera behind so I could have a cruise!

07.01.2022 Well we were hoping for some clarity today around getting our courses up and going... We are still in a holding pattern with no indication when the State government might announce an easing of restrictions to allow us back in the water. As soon as we know, you'll know. Most of the logistical planning is done, so hopefully no major delays in kicking off once the green light is given.

05.01.2022 While we support works to improve access and beautification of the area, this idea will actually hinder access and be counter productive to the new diving ramps and landing put in.

05.01.2022 We had hope for today and while non contact sport is allowed, the 25km boundary remains for a couple of weeks yet. Have faith guys, we're almost there

05.01.2022 So I have a Friday off, there's a double red boats dive from Portsea tomorrow in Cray territory... Who's tempted! Booking link here https://secure.netbookings.com.au/tourism/1934/viewtours

04.01.2022 So during this enforced time at home, it's nice to plot some time away! So why not drop in on Trav at Off Shore Retreat in St Andrews Beach as soon as we can! Close to Rye, Blairgowrie and Flinders and a nice quiet getaway, it will be on our list of places to get away to when we can. While we are grounded, we're still happy to reach out to the wider community that supports diving and give them some support so they're ready for us when we can get back down there!... https://www.airbnb.com.au/users/show/192238904

03.01.2022 Missing our dive squad today, and hoping that Victoria is on the path out of restrictions and its time to create the next set of good times! #scuba #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #scubajunkies #underwater #morningtonpeninsula #bluelinedivers #sonyrx100 #scubainstructor

03.01.2022 Today's announcement is a mixed bag for us! We are really pleased to see some restrictions are eased which allows diving and non contact sports back on. However as we are more than 25kms out, our social diving is still parked until at least NOV 1. We are yet to review the announcement to see if instructional work is permitted under the new restrictions that would allow that travel window, so stay tuned!! Thanks for all the messages so far and support. And to those who have co...mmitted to courses in the future, a heartfelt thank you! It's good to know you are still with us!! Al

02.01.2022 We are back!!!! As of Nov 8 restrictions are being lifted that will allow us back in the water and bookings are already rolling in! I'm just a tad excited to be able to kick off again and get back in the water and offer our teaching services to you! For those who've had courses interrupted you are my first priority to get you through and finish what we've started! There will be some changes to our course sizes due to density ratios and compliance with Covid safe plans, so pl...ease work with us in this regard! Currently fielding enquiries for a deep course for end of Nov into start of Dec which can be combined with Nitrox.

02.01.2022 We love getting feedback on our course work and it's great to know that we deliver a fun and more importany, a safe course!! If you are looking for a more personalised and focused course, drop us a line!! #scuba #scubadiving #bluelinedivers #morningtonpeninsula #scubadivingaddicts #scubajunkies #mypadi #doyouevenscuba #openwater #scubaschool #learntodive
