24.01.2022 I always get a little emotional on ANZAC Day. This year, I think it's even more relevant, at least it is for me. I spend the day thinking about service to others, sacrifice and of course what freedom truly is. Having been under forced isolation and a light version of house arrest, no matter how noble the cause, we can understand that our freedom is something we have taken for granted. It's only when our ability to be free is hindered that we truly understand that, in reality..., our modern freedoms are not set in stone. It's not something that was given to us out of a respect for life and decency. Freedom is fought and paid for with the lives of many. Today I remember those soldiers that paid the price for my freedom. Young men and women that were still only babies to their mothers, that sacrificed themselves so that I, and my children, can live in this blessed country. I thank the soldiers that are fighting today for a noble cause and accept their lives for my own - the most sacred exchange, a payment that weighs heavy. I salute the men and women that cannot march today, may your ANZAC Day be a day of whatever you need to get through. I remember the fallen. I honour those in training to replace them. Lest we forget.

24.01.2022 **Housekeeping** so... I'm low on P2/N95 masks - still able to work for a little while. I won't be looking for any at the moment 1. because it's a bit of a fool...s errand and 2. because there are medical staff that need them more than I do. I have a solution I'm going to look into so we'll so how that pans out. As usual, I will pick up and drop off but I will continue (as I have been doing for years for many reasons) to limit my contact with all new mothers and babies. Sniff those babies and stay safe! You wouldn't think that such a universal thing such an umbilical cord had a lot of variations but they do - long, short, fat, thin, AVA or missing an artery, lots of Whartons Jelly, full, drained, knots and false knots - it's all very cool. 02.01.2022 Just coming in to say I'm still here. I don't use Facebook anymore privately so it's tricky to post business things- I forget and get distracted. I'm still working for you all. 01.01.2022 I don't know about you, Mama, but craving chocolate is a sure sign that my magnesium, calcium and vit D requirements are out of whack. Really feeling it today so will get on the mag spray, put lentils in our dinner tonight and try to find a bit of sun...but also, do you get fancy with food prep, who does these things? I'm so basic #aintnobodygottimeforthis
