19.01.2022 Aloha All, In NSW things seem to be on the improve with restrictions on gatherings and performing easing. That said the Festival Committee has not changed from its conservative decisions regarding running a smaller and sweeter Festival, with safety for our Performers and audience our first concern.... One change that we are seeing is new collaborations emerging, solo acts which are now small groups and other small groups that have come from larger groups. So, if you are keen on performing talk to your friends and get your Expressions of Interest in as they will be closing soon. https://fs30.formsite.com/robbocx/form1/index.html

07.01.2022 Aloha All, The news is that we can run the 2021 Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival and EOI's are now open.. In order to meet with all the current rules, regulations and restrictions currently in place we will need to work with some rules/constraints.... These include: No interstate or overseas acts, the ACT is not considered interstate. There will be a maximum of 50 acts and 500 attendees including the Performers. To meet these limits the Festival cannot support solo acts or acts with more than five people. For example, the Blue MUGs will not be performing . Each person gets one shot only, you cannot appear in more than one act (bass players excepted, the act limit of five will still apply). With the numbers limited on-site everyone will need to help out, as each extra volunteer means we can host one more attendee. Everyone applying to attend MUST provide individual tracing information which includes name, address and a phone number. If this information is missing from your EOI it will not be accepted. We will be charging a commitment fee of $25.00 to guarantee your attendance, this will be invoiced after the EOI’s have been reviewed and offers made. If approved the Festival pass can only be picked up on-site in person by the individual after answering the COVID questions, providing ID that matches the application and has an in-range temperature check. You cannot pick up a pass for anyone else. Expressions of interest to perform are now open:. https://fs30.formsite.com/robbocx/form1/index.html Potential attendees MUST NOT attend the Festival if they, or anyone they are in contact with, have any COVID-19 symptoms. Strum soon

03.01.2022 Aloha All, Good news, the 2021 Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival planning is well underway. We can run our Festival and meet with all the current rules, regulations and restrictions currently in place: It will be different, It will be challenging,... It will be smaller, It will have less acts, only 50, It will have 500 attending, It will have five stages, It will have a Friday dinner/Show, It will not have solo acts, It will not have acts with more than five performers, the Blue MUGs will not get to play , It will not have overseas acts, It will not have interstate acts, It will require everyone, yep everyone, to request to attend, It will require everyone to sit at performances, It will require everyone attending to help out, Like we said it will be different, but, with a little luck the Festival will happen as planned.
