Utilising the @turbosmarthq Progate 50 external wastegate with our Hybrid FG turbo, we’re seeing solid results in the mid 300rwkw range (maintaining the factory dump). Given the varying age/condition of these cars, this is also a viable option if repair is required on a failing internal gate. 21.01.2022 FG G6ET dropped off with a failed turbo. We replaced the turbo with a new @garrettmotion core, added a @aeroflow.com.au oil feed line and completed a major service. This turbo failed due to the previous owner removing the inline oil filter protecting the turbo from debris, which allowed carbon to enter the bearing pack and damage the bearings. 14.01.2022 FG GT came in with a coolant leak that needed proper attention. We located leaks in several areas resulting from a previous water pump replacement, which the last person completed without removing the supercharger. There was even a tonne of silicon used in an attempt to cover their tracks! 14.01.2022 When this BF XR6T came in for some repair work, we noticed the heavy discolouration of the oil feed line. Considering the common issues with B series oil feed lines we advised the customer it was a good idea to change to a quality aftermarket braided setup. Upon dissecting the old oil feed this is what we were greeted with .
