24.01.2022 We are sorely missing our beautiful giraffe friend Gerald. Not a day goes by we dont fondly glance over to the retail wall and remember those happy days we had with him in our lives. Gerald was a stay over generously provided by our friends @theprophouse_ @blueskycoffee is all about more recognition and exposure for all the Woolloongabba locally owned Buisnesses who make up a generous portion of our neighbours and customers. If you are in need of a giraffe amongst other African animals and props they have got your back. Go check em out. #supportsmallbusiness #localbuisness #specialtycoffee #bestcoffeeinbrisbane

22.01.2022 Really want a fresh cup at home? But you need a grinder, and a brewer, and a filter, and a kettle.... by now it occurs to you, its costly assembling a coffee setup from scratch!!! @blueskycoffee now stocks the @cafflano.official klassic a cute lil brewer that packs into a single unit (like a thermos) with a grinder, pourer, cup and percolator all in one! Freaking easy peasy coffee maker!!!!

22.01.2022 Another gorgeous carbonic maceration in time for Christmas! This time from El Salvador tasting notes of red fruits, red currants, red , raspberry. A really fun coffee that’s an easy dial in for the prosumer at home. #specialtycoffee #specialtycoffeeroaster #bestcoffeeinbrisbane

21.01.2022 Stunning coffee is an exercise in simplicity. Often the minimal amounts of ingredients doubles the effects of the variables, mastery isnt about controlling changes but understanding their effects and using them in your favour. #specialtycoffeeroaster #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #coffeeculture

20.01.2022 Toarca plantation- Sulawesi, south East Asian island microclimate- Ruhinga washing station, Burundi- central Africa. Forever searching for those farm level flavours #terrior #specialtycoffeeroaster

20.01.2022 Delicious well rounded with citrus body but a toned back acidity: Gatuya. The space that is created from the rather un-kenyaness of lower acidity opens up for strawberry and cherry jam . #specialtycoffeeroaster #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #singleorigincoffee

20.01.2022 An absolutely stunning coffee from Costa Rica super clean and easy drinking milk chocolate body with red fruits raspberry and strawberries coming through on top. Thanks @cafeimportsaustralia and farmer superstar for such a delicious cup #specialtycoffeeroaster #specialtycoffeecostarica #australiancoffeeroasters

20.01.2022 Our first Ethiopian of the new year harvest and what a fitting start to a season thats sure to blow people away. This washed Guji has a clean and balanced profile with citrus zest leading into brandy mouthfeel, black currents and liqueur finish. Truly Ethiopian coffee at its best! Available in store and online from today #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #specialtycoffeeroaster #specialtycoffee

19.01.2022 We have some phenomenal coffees in store. This Rafael Amaya washed Colombian Geisha has a cup profile of clarity and clean open flavours of white grape, lemon acidity and white wine. Coffee this great only comes from farmers who have utter 100% commitment to best practice agricultural and horticulture processes of their trees and soil. When I roast coffees like this its in small batches, and no distractions. Come down have this one as a spro or filter and expose yourself to literally the best coffees ever grown. #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #specialtycoffee #colombiancoffee

19.01.2022 Love a latte? Our house blend Midnight Oil is specially formulated for a big creamy milk coffee, notes of rum and raisin and caramel coming through. The secret ingredient: 45% gr 1 Ethiopian Natural coffee beans. All the dessert @blueskycoffee

19.01.2022 Slinging the goods, Monday to Sunday. #specialtycoffee #bestcoffeeinbrisbane

18.01.2022 Coffee is hard, no doubt about it. Sadly a lot of baristas feel like they are adequately equipped just with the skills they have picked up along the way behind the counter. While this is a great entry point, its hardly standardised. The ability to detach the learning from the working environment and examine all of coffees aspects in detail is as rewarding as it is insightful. Check out bluesky.coffee for more info on training courses and corporate coffee events like cuppings and coffee tasting sessions. They range from home barista modules right up to filter Masterclass and latte art. #bestcoffeeinbrisbane

17.01.2022 Plenty of great coffee to go out. Sulawesi peaberry-toarca plantation. Burundi Ruhinga washed. Colombia El Deseo. 16.01.2022 Bit late but still a lil reminder. Jump over to fb for tickets and a list of coffee information. #slurpingbluesky

15.01.2022 @blueskycoffee has been synonymous with high quality Scandinavian roast style carbonic Ethiopian coffees. But this little underachiever from Nicaragua is also a banging washed carbonic maceration. Seeing how the process affects different terroir notes across a range of origins is fascinating and gives us more vantage on what we can look forward to from progressive producers in the future with this process. Tasting notes: peach iced tea, apricot and brown sugar with a fudge body and chocolate aftertaste. Available in store and online. #specialtycoffeeroaster #specialtycafe #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #australiancoffeeroasters #australiancoffeeculture

13.01.2022 Still some lovely Kenyan from last years harvest on the wall, wont last long. These coffees have delish herbaceous notes of thyme, and black pepper alongside black currents, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries and citrus like ruby grapefruit and orange juice. Suffice to say its a pretty broad spectrum for 3 singles origins to display. #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #specialtycoffeeroaster

11.01.2022 Coffee done right, the exclusive singles, the public cuppings, well rounded coffee training and an open feedback loop. We lead by example and we set the bar for Brisbane coffee pretty high. @blueskycoffee dedicated to chasing exceptional coffees, putting flavour and quality above all else and rethinking the way we build relationships with producers, cafes and consumers alike. #specialtycoffeeroaster #specialtycoffeeassociation #bestcoffeeinbrisbane

10.01.2022 Burundi a small landlocked country in Central Africa. Definitely one of the most underrated coffee origins. Our Ruhinga Station is comprised of three varietals of coffee: Mibirizi, Jackson and Bourbon. Ruhinga exhibits a low acidity and mild citrus notes, uncommon in African coffees. It also has a high sweetness, and flavours reminiscent of Brown Cream Soda. Again, unusual. Making it a killer standout in our July offerings. Available in store and online now. #bestcoffeeinbrisbane #specialtycoffee #coffeeroaster #specialtycoffeecommunity

10.01.2022 The tropical sensation: Pablo Ponce Ecuador strong and vivid tropical fruit flavours both in aroma and tastes. 10.01.2022 Thanks for the memories Santa Rosa. This coffee is on its last weeks, delicious honey processed pacamara from a repeate coe winner Jorge Raul Rivera. Lots of farmers in the game a long time have a memorable great season that produced excellent quality but Jorge has consistently pushed a farm practice aiming for production of predictably high quality yields year after year. The proof is the the coffee: coe El Salvador finalists 2014, 2017, 2019. Tasting of marmalade jam, plum and orange juice.

10.01.2022 Delightfully bright apple acidity with a brown sugar, caramel and pastry finish. Our new El Salvador a fully washed Pacas boasts clean and clearly articulated flavours in a well rounded cup with exceptional finish. 05.01.2022 Sulawesi is an island that is part of Indonesia. While coffee has been grown here since the 1800s a global appetite for specialty grade lots has inspired many small farmers to re-evaluate their farming practices and aim for better quality. This particular lot is a peaberry, a grading term that refers to the cherry producing a single seed, as opposed to a pair in each fruit. Peaberries are well represented in kenya and Tanzania but practically unknown in south East Asian coffee production. The inclusion of a full peaberry in the cooperatives offerings showed a persistence to try new things. This makes it a great fit for Blue Skys own coffee program. #specialtycoffeeroaster #indonesiancoffee #coffee #bestcoffeeinbrisbane
