05.01.2022 Anyone else feeling the symptoms of cabin fever? Are you finding yourself getting stuck inside the box (both the one youre living in and the one inside your head)? One remedy thats still available to so many of us is a simple walk outside. Whether you live with a national park on your doorstep or in a crowded inner city suburb, getting outdoors - especially on these clear, crisp Autumn days - can do a world of good. If you are suffering from isolation, as most of us are by... now, please do yourself a favour and take half an hour, an hour or whatever time you can afford to get outside for a walk. No calorie counters, step counters or fancy apps needed. Just get the shoes on and get started... and most importantly, let yourself be curious and keep your mind open as to what you might find out there! Oh and it goes without saying - please ensure that youre being as responsible as you can be with regards to social distancing and other specific restrictions that may apply in your locality to stop the spread as the current situation continues to unfold. #mentalhealth #wellbeing #stressmanagement #gratitude #justdoit #isolation #isolationhacks #cabinfever #wellness

02.01.2022 What would a more courageous version of yourself look like? What are the hard conversations you avoid having? We had the pleasure of hosting Genevieve de la Reux at our Networking In Nature gathering in Sydney yesterday who has been beat up, jailed and abused time and time again fighting for kids whove fallen victim to child rape, sex trafficking and some of the most horrendous abuse imaginable. Her story and message is a wake up call for our often overly cautious, too afra...id to offend culture that struggles to have open, respectful conversations about controversial issues. Thanks to Genevieve for showing us whats possible when you have courage and speak up and act on what you believe in. Since moving to Kenya in 2015, Genevieves organisation has rescued and surgically repaired 1000+ children who have suffered horrific, violent, sexual abuse. It doesnt get much more real than that! Weve donated to Genevieves rescue centres in Keyna and encourage you to do the same if youre in a fortunate enough position to be able to do so.... head to https://gbvtrust.com/ or GBV Charitable Trust Alternatively, reach out to Genevieve directly - there are plenty of ways to get involved.
