24.01.2022 We have been so lucky in Victoria to have the opportunity of being able to listen to this sensational guitarist while he called Melbourne home He now resides in NSW again but will be making the trip back to Victoria to play for the BLUESTONE BLUES FESTIVAL 2019/20 This is first appearance at our festival and we cannot wait to see him Nathan Beretta has made his mark in the Australian blues scene with the multiple award winning blues band Blue Eyes Cry. Berettas Debut rele...ase Where I belong hit No.1 on the Australian Blues and Roots Charts, and is already gaining respect from blues lovers all over Growing up with Blues in the household, Nathan has brought his own unique style to the table. Influenced by artist such as Ronnie Earl, Albert Collins, Albert King and Buddy Guy Nathan plays from the soul with an all killer no filler approach. With Beretta's debut album " Where I belong " hitting no.1 on the Australian blues and roots charts 2019, he's quickly grabbed blues lovers attention. 23.01.2022 Brian Fraser will be bringing his finger picking blues show to the Sleepy Hollow Blues Club Bluestone Festival in 2019. He will be joined on stage with Dave (The Bastard) Keelings on harmonica and general mayhem. Brian and Dave worked together for many years in the band Turning Blue The last few years have seen them often together on The Blues Train performing or at the occasional show around Geelong. The New Years Eve show will include some of Brians solo material plus... a few old Turning Blue tunes Brian is a multi-award winning artist with over 40 years experience in the music industry he has had a number of CD releases solo and with bands. He spends many months of every year touring Australia, performing at festivals, hotels and a multitude of other venues. Australian Blues Album of the Year -Chain Awards 2000 Male Artist of the Year -VicTas Awards 2003 Australian Blues Band of the Year - Brian Fraser Trio, Chain Awards 2006 Brian was also a finalist in this years MBAS International Blues Challenge. Brian and Dave are very well know in the Geelong area and really know how to PLAY THE BLUES.

The Detonators ...have a finely honed array of original songs and a stage show that only comes from years of gigging pubs, clubs and festivals. Their relentless gigging and touring over vast distances through the years both in Australia and overseas has seen them become crowned kings of Australian roots rock n roll. Their original music, to which all members contribute, is best described as a lethal combination of early blues with a sprinkling of rockabilly and early rock n roll thrown in. 20.01.2022 What an honour to have this internationally known BLUES MAN.GEOFF ACHISON, playing at BLUESTONE 2019/20 Geoff is so well known to the Sleepy Hollow Blues Club gang and has such a long association with the people of Geelong. This man has so many AWARDS and ACCOLADES under his belt, that he really needs no introduction at all and we are so honoured that he will be playing at BLUESTONE again... Drawing on influences such as Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker and The Allman Brothers Band Geoff invokes the spirit of classic blues & soul to create superb and exciting original music. Touring solo and employing the best musicians available to form his band, Geoff has successfully established himself on the UK, US and Aussie blues/roots scenes. Our next band to announce is the JUMP CATS The JUMP CATS are a Melbourne based four piece band with Mark HARPO Greenway on guitar, Jeff Walters on double bass, Alf Mott on the skins and Chris STIBBO Hangar, blues harp and vocals These guys really know how to get everyone up and jumping with their up tempo style of JUMP BLUES, made famous in the 1940s just before rock and roll hit the scene.... These guys first played as the Jump Devils in 2015. Then in 2018 a change of line-up with the addition of Jeff Walters on double bass, they then became THE JUMP CATS.In all that time they have never stopped wowing audiences everywhere they play They have a huge following all over the state and love coming to GEETOWN where the locals KNOW HOW TO PARTY!.. 14.01.2022 Its started!!....We are so excited about planning our festival BLUESTONE 2019/20... Every year as we ponder what, when and how, we remind ourselves about why BLUESTONE came into existence originally...... It was a chance for all local musicians to spend NYE together at home and catch up...From there it has grown to what it is today and this year is the 24th year of BLUESTONE... We are always still very mindful of having an outstanding selection of local musicians and this year will be no different... NOW for the announcement of our first band which will be THE SHANE PACEY TRIO all the way from SYDNEY.... This band has a BIG history and we are absolutely blown away that they will be gracing the BLUESTONE 2019/20 stage... What an interesting history Shane has... With this band, he is going back to where it all started for him...the guitar playing/singing of Peter Green and the short sharp style coming out of Chess Records in the 50s and 60s. His dedication to blues music is has always been his journey and this band plays so rarely in Victoria so it will be a amazing opportunity to see him play at BLUESTONE 2019/20 in our renowned laid back venue... His other band of course is the BONDI CIGARS..... Shane will be bringing with him...On bass guitar Paul Blasi and on drums Dave Fester...I need say NO MORE.....

Their brand of straight ahead foot stomping blues has gained them significant popularity, opening the door to a range of festivals and venues across the country. ... As part of their annual pilgrimage, in 2019 Dog Gone South performed as far north as Cooktown, as well as around 20 gigs in Port Douglas, Cairns and Mission Beach, as well as The Black Mountain Picnic and Blues on Broadbeach festivals The duos debut album, Bring Ya Foot And Stomp It, has sold over 500 copies in the first 12 months of release. Dog Gone South are riding on a blues revival around the country. From Melbourne to Cooktown, from Beechworth to Adelaide, they are one of the busiest blues acts from the south and have clocked up over 100 gigs annually.

It will be another STELLAR LINE-UP for this year, our 24th year as a FESTIVAL....... We are up there as one of the LONGEST running BLUES FESTIVALS in Australia....WOW...What an honor that is.... This is our 24th year and we are so proud of that record as part of the SLEEPY HOLLOW BLUES CLUB.... As for SLEEPY HOLLOW BLUES CLUB this is our 25th year which clicks over on JULY 19th....Which is in fact TODAY... Keep tuned as we start our band announcements for this FABULOUS FESTIVAL...
